The day was suppose to be spent in the house relaxing. However midway through the afternoon Mommy decided to change that for CJ and Daddy. Now, CJ and daddy upon waking up this morning enjoyed pancakes for breakfast. They each had a drink Daddy of juice and CJ of milk and then began to watch television. Daddy was even able to read part of a book to CJ. It was about different shades of brown. Daddy read until CJ left him with book in hand.
When Mommy changed the plan, Daddy and CJ adjusted. They dropped her off where she needed to be then proceeded up north to wait and save gasoline. CJ was sleep the entire ride up and when we arrived was groggy and grumpy for about 20 minutes. Within that time her cousins came over and she warmed up quickly. CJ dined on an ice pop and then went to watch television with her great-grandmother and cousins. She actually volunteered to be away from her Daddy whom she usually clings to all the time. Sooner than later she came out and managed to get near some glasses she should not have been near. We tried calling her cousin Brooks softly as not to startle her but we were to late and the glass shattered on the floor. CJ who tried to get away was not harmed but she was put on time out. She was upset and of course performed a tantrum but Daddy paid her no mind and began the clean up process.
CJ must learn that she can not just touch anything when she wants. CJ sat in that place until Daddy told her it was time to go get her mother. We are really working on CJ's lack of listening to people an her selective listening to her parents. We will have to pray daily so we do not have a child who feels she can do what she wants when she wants too. Prayer changes things, people, and situations.
