Right now Daddy is seething. C.J. is sleeping peacefully but I am furious. It is all regarding the Lakers game. Kobe Bryant is the only Laker playing in a game that we MUST win. C.J. saw some of the game today, but I guess the lackluster performance of our team put her to sleep. Maybe I will have some good news to share in the morning, but it does not look good right now.
C.J. has been home sick since this past Wednesday night. She has taken her medicine, stayed away form the sitter's, and she has been home driving her parents nuts. Now the new work week begins. Both Daddy and Mommy have to go to work. Truth be told, Mommy has taken more than enough time off, lol! Now we will see how C.J. makes out with her first day back in the normal routine.
We can rest assured that tomorrow will not be normally for Daddy. He will leave the ringer on just in case he needs to go get his Princess early. Normally he will turn the ringer off and he is guaranteed to hear the vibration or see the phone light up when need be. Daddy already knows that Mommy will call a few more times than she regularly does. Come to think of it, she might as well teach her classes in the babysitter's backyard tomorrow. Normal it will be, but there will be some abnormal actions all in the name of C.J. Johnson.
This evening was interesting. Daddy had to administer some tough love. Usually he will heed to C.J.'s every beck and call. Tonight, however, Daddy had some things around the house he needed to tend to, so he had to put C.J. in her playpen to play by herself. As so as she realized she was in there, the fireworks began. Crying, whining, pouting, and anything else she could have done. Daddy held firm and just looked at her. Even though she cried violently, he assured her that he was there and kept doing what he was doing. He did this for a long time and again it was Mommy who punked out and came to her rescue. Once Daddy and Mommy were done, they tended to C.J. and she instantly was all smiles.
So today is coming to an end. Prayers have been sent up for C.J. Her bag is packed, and she is asleep while Daddy remains pissed about this game. So as you pray tonight, keep her in your prayers. We know that prayer changes things, people, and situations.
NOTE TO C.J.: When you play any type of sport, make sure you never leave the game in the hands of the referees. Give it 100% every time you go on the floor, field, court, lynx or any other athletic venue.
