Voyage to Hawaii

Since the weather was very comfortable today, C.J. and the rest of the babysitter's crew were given the opportunity to go outdoors today. When I arrived, I saw C.J. with a lei on. Mommy informed me that she had gone to Hawaii. How she accomplished that and returned home by 4:15pm was beyond me. I wanted to take C.J. on her first trip to the island, but I guess I will have to play second best.

I am glad that C.J. is getting the opportunity to explore with her imagination. As an educator, I always encourage my students to see beyond where they are. Too many times our young people today are forced to limit themselves to the boxes in which they are placed. As for C.J., she will always be encouraged to see what she wants. I never want to throw limits at her and develop barriers that will hinder her. Instead I want to nurture her process and help her realize how to make her dreams come into reality.

C.J. did not sleep much today at the sitter so when she arrived home she napped. She did manage to get her climb on, and she spent a lot of time on her feet today. Pretty soon she will be taking those first few steps. She is building her confidence more and more each day. Daddy gets excited when he sees the determination of his Princess written all over her face. Her eyes get focused and she refuses to stop until she feels her task is complete. I pray daily that she embeds this in her personal box for life.

C.J. did not get to watch any of game three of the NBA Finals, but I will give her a full report in the morning. Hopefully our team, The Lakers, will represent positively tonight. So let me get back to the game now. You all pray now. Prayer changes people, things, and situations.
