Well my friends, it is official. C.J. is sick. This morning she woke up at 4:30am, and was perky. She had a fever so we treated that and she laid back down. I was a little worried so I stayed home a little later than normal. I did not leave the house until five minutes to eight. If you know me, you know I am usually near work by that time. I wanted to make sure that both Mommy and C.J. would be OK. So I arrived to work around 9:30am, and as soon as I touched my seat, I made a call home. Now I was a little upset because I got no answer on either the cell nor the house phone. Later than I wanted, Mommy called me and let me know they were asleep, so I was at ease a little.
So the day goes on, and Daddy has a successful meeting and the office had a nice lunch together. As soon as I hit the car to head home, I called to see how C.J. was doing. My exact words to Mommy were, "How is the little monster doing?" She responded, "Being a monster". It was about that time that I heard loud noise in the background. I asked Mommy, "Is that her?" She assured me that the noise I heard was C.J. I figured that she was back to normal. When I arrived home she was fighting Mommy because she did not want to lay down. She saw me and began to grin. She ate well, she drank her milk without incident, so I thought we were in the clear. I figured we would be all systems go for the babysitter tomorrow and Daddy would be home to enjoy his day off alone. Mommy did not like it but that was the plan.
Suddenly things went south. Mommy felt C.J. and said her fever might be back. She also thought C.J. was grabbing at her ears. So she decided to give the doctor a call. He said to bring her in if we wanted to. I agreed that we should at least so Mommy would be at ease and we would know what was up. When we arrived at the doctor's, I let his wife know that Mommy was paranoid and that we should check her out. In the end it was Mommy that was on point because C.J. has strep throat. Now we are figuring that she got it from those nasty children Mommy teaches. She is contagious for the next twenty four hours so we will all be home together. She has her medicine now, and is still operating as if nothing is wrong. As I always I say my Princess is a fighter, just like her Daddy!
So folks you know what we are praying for tonight. We are praying that C.J. is healed and back to 100 percent quickly, and that Daddy will get one Friday where he will be able to chill without C.J., lol! I love her to death but I just want one folks, just one. So pray up, we know prayer changes things, people, and situations.
