So the chain of events goes this way. Mommy texts Daddy to tell him she is staying late at work to see the Awards Ceremony. Daddy rides up Route 1 to pick up C.J. Upon arrival, C.J. is waiting calmly. The sitter tells me that she is feeling a little warm. Daddy asks if she ate, and of course, the answer was yes. So C.J. and Daddy headed for home. C.J. cried an unusual cry, though. Usually when she cries in the car, it is a painful cry...one that annoys, and makes you know she wants attention. Today it was a moan, more so like I do not feel well, Daddy. We arrive home and C.J. is lethargic...no smiles, no crawling, no laughing, no trouble. That is not my Princess.
So now, I am calm and I take her temperature, 101.3 not good, so I call the doctor and of course the boss lady. The doctor called back, said to give her some ibuprofin, and see what that does. I race out in the rain to find some because Tylenol has been recalled. CVS is empty so I had to drive to Walgreens. I came back home. Mommy was now there and she administered the medicine. The fever broke, but then she vomited something awful. She took another bath and fell asleep a little while later.
I would say that Daddy handled the situation well. I remained calm and treated my Princess the best I could. She rested and Daddy comforted her. I just hope she feels better in the morning. So pray for C.J.'s health tonight folks. We know prayer changes things, people, and situations and, tonight specifically, C.J.'s health.
