CJ and Daddy Walking

This morning Daddy had his hands full. So when it was time to go to the car Daddy who usually carries CJ put her down to walk. Daddy held her had as she tried to keep pace with him. Mommy I guess saw us from behind and said we looked cute together. I do not know what it is but the simple things CJ and I do together bring me the most joy. I mean walking to the car takes no talent, Daddy is not particularly awake at that moment and, it is cold. However when CJ stops to try and pick up everything on the ground, when she constantly looks back to take inventory of her surroundings, and when she begins to utter words to keep her entertained a smile comes upon Daddy's face. I mentioned to Mommy yesterday that no matter how much I have to chase CJ and no matter how much she gets into, breaks, or destroys I would give anything to be able to be with her all day long.

Keep praying that our relationship blossoms. Prayer changes things, people, and situations!

Everyday

This is CJ's new word. I will explain it all when the time comes. Keep praying, it changes things, people, and things.

Breakfast In Bed

CJ and Daddy woke up early as usual. Daddy prepared breakfast for us all but Mommy remained in the bed and would not eat.

We went out for a ride and CJ was pretty well behaved.

Daddy had to leave early but CJ was bathed and ready for bed befroe he left.

Will add more about today, well yesterday technically later today.

Brandon's Birthday

Daddy and CJ went out with Mommy to celebrate Brandon's birthday at this Hibachi place in Jersey city. Cj bullied her cousin and then was let loose by her Aunt. She had issues with her grandma and decided to eat everything not nailed down. More details in the morning.

Back At It

Today was a good day. CJ went back to the sitter. Daddy went back to work. CJ ate and drank today. All seems to be getting better. We did get off to a real late start but you should expect that after a two day layoff. When we came to pick CJ up from the babysitter she ran to the door and greeted MOmmy and Daddy with a smile. Then after standing idle for a while she dove toward daddy and hugged his legs. Now you all know that is the best feeling in the world for Daddy. He picked CJ up and proceeded to give her a kiss!

Daddy is really glad that CJ is doing better. Her being sick started to wear down on him. He would always rather her to be her loud, over the top, and inquisitive self. This is the CJ you have to chase around the house and watch her laugh as she does tries to outrun you. Tonight was Daddy bath night and we read a book out Babies. CJ actually sat still while I read to her. We then prayed and she fell asleep immediately. I am glad she is not sick anymore. She is not 100% but close and Daddy will take it. That is while he still uses the nose sucker to get the mucus out of her nose.

So keep praying for CJ's health. Prayer changes things, people, and situations. She is better all because of prayer.

NOTE TO CJ: Princess be sure to plan in advance so you are not caught by surprise. Plan in your studies and recreational life. That way you can handle the unexpected because you have considered most of them already.

On Lock

Instead of getting up and going to work for the past two days Daddy has been getting up to stay home with CJ. By 11:00am yesterday I was ready to go to work. CJ's had a very bad cold and it really was getting the best of her. The one thing small children can not do is communicate how they feel the way adults ay want them too. CJ would not eat, she would not drink, her nose kept running, and for some reason her diaper still needed to be changed. I respect all babysitter's because I was not made for this.

Daddy just prays she gets better. We all know that being locked up in the house for two days straight was not his cup of tea. Daddy is a busy body and wall make him feel boxed in. So when you pray tonight CJ's health should be at the tip of your list. Daddy believes that prayer changes things, people, and situations.

A Late Start

We knew it would hit sooner or later and at about 3:45am it was verified that CJ was indeed sick. Her nose was running, her cough was more frequent and she had a fever. Daddy of course hates when his Princess is sick and made sure she had everything she needed before he left out for work. We tried to fight the cold and CJ stood strong as long as she could but the cold got tough in the last round. When CJ does not eat or drink you know there is a problem.

When Daddy came home he did manage to get her to eat a few potatoe wedges and drink some water. Daddy was glad to see tgat CJ was loud and running around when he came home. CJ is actually now fighting her sleep as I type so the tide is turning and Daddy is glad. CJ is his partner in crime and he needs her to be well to help create havoc.

So you all keep praying for her health and strength. We know that prayer changes things, people, and situations. Her health needs to get right.

Could Not Make It

Daddy and CJ had a long day. Church at 8am and 11am. Then we had to rush home to prepare for company later on in the day. CJ has many sisters and brothers and a few came over to have dinner with Daddy and Mommy and of course visit CJ. CJ could not make it for the entire visit because the hour was late and CJ has been up and down with a bad cough.

The cough is a bit nerve wrecking because nothing ever comes up. I am glad she does not have a fever. She is also eating and still getting into everything that is not nailed down. Daddy does get a little worried when his little mamma is not 100%. She is a little ball of energy and you come to expect that at all times. Daddy just prays that whatever it is that she has goes away. You all pray too, prayer changes things, people, and situations. Prayer can get rid of that nasty cough too.

Packed

This weekend was suppose to be a free and enjoyable one. It still has been enjoyable but not free at all. %t has been busy and Daddy is exhausted. We have two church services tomorrow and we have guests tomorrow evening. So much to do with so little time. Pray for us.

TIRED

Daddy was tired, Mommy was tired, even CJ was tired when we all got together after our long day. We were suppose to go shopping but we did not feel like it. We instead went to the mall, walked around then went to dinner. At dinner, tonight it was the Olive Garden, CJ continued to speak to everyone she came in contact with. She spoke to the other babies around but they did not return her greetings. The waitress fell in love with her and could not stay away from the table. The only bad thing was that CJ hit some little girl as she walked past our table. Daddy told her that she should not do that, hopefully she understands.

We came home and Daddy bathed CJ. It is Thursday so you know the routine. Daddy prepared her for bed and as he prayed with her she leaned her head against Daddy's and dozed off. So Daddy quickly read the 23 Psalm to her and mentioned to her that one day she would memorize it.

So a long day has come to an end, God brought us through. We pray that we get rejuvenated. We know that prayer changes things, people, and situations. Keep us in your effectual and fervent prayer!

NOTE TO CJ: Some times your body will tell you to rest even when your mind is active and trying to do more and more. It is tough to get your mind in sync with your body. Rest is essential to your health so try to get as much of it as you can.

The Last I Saw

The last I saw of CJ it was about 7:30am this morning. When I looked back to say goodbye she was still asleep. So Mommy took her inside and Daddy work day began. I arrived home around 10:30pm to find her sleeping. So I kissed my finger and placed them on her cheek.

So Daddy prayerfully will see his Princess awake! So Daddy solicits your prayers. Prayer changes things, people, and situations.

Is It Worth It

Daddy woke up this morning asking the question, "Did Martin Luther King ever wake up one morning and say forget all this?" This was on his mind because Daddy is trying to figure things out. A career is becoming more and more challenging. Daddy said that he understood why Mike Tyson bit off Evander Holyfield's ear. At one moment he realized he was not fighting his type of fight, he saw himself losing in his opponents eyes, he was without his trainer, what was he do to? The only thing he could do is revert back to not caring and being an animal. Now Daddy is not an animal but one of his friends called a timeout and gave him a pep talk, provided some gatorade and told him to get back in the ring and keep fighting.

Daddy knows that CJ is the center of his life, well CJ and Mommy. He wakes up to be with them, goes to work to support them, and comes home to relax with them. He enjoys their company and would do anything he felt necessary to make sure they are protected. He does not do what he does for himself. God wakes him up everyday to be a beacon of light for those he comes in contact with. God has a plan and Daddy has to get in line with it.

CJ was on the subtle side today. She was actually good. She is a joy and Daddy loves to dance with her when we are hanging around the house doing nothing. Now she is sleeping, Daddy will catch up to her with the snores soon enough. So for now folks, keep those prayers going up. the situation needs changing and prayer changes things, people, and situations!

Doctor Love

An ole skool club by First Choice titled, "Doctor Love" is one of Daddy's favorite club songs. Take a listen (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMqGqu0241U)

Today, was CJ's 18 month visit to the doctor. When they offered this date Daddy asked whether or not they would be open tonight due to the holiday and they said, yes. SOo Daddy saw no harm in accepting the date. CJ was a mess at the doctors office too, she even opened the door to a supply closet. She interacted well with the other children in the office until one became bossy and CJ chose not to be bothered with her.

Her visit went well. She continues to be tall for her age and a little bigger than most, lol! We prayerfully do not have to go back until August.

Now you know CJ and Daddy were Valetine's, Daddy gave CJ crown shaped earrings because she is his Princess. He has decided that he will always show CJ what a woman should be treated like and how a man should treat a woman. Daddy has also decided to begin planning CJ and his first date. Right now he knows it will be out of state, near water.

Daddy loves his Princess and wants only the best for her. Daddy understands that he must be a positive example in her life. How a man should treat her is how Daddy treats Mommy. What a man is suppose to be will be exemplified in Daddy. So you all keep praying that Daddy is the model of a man that CJ can learn from. Daddy is not perfect but tries to live right, daily. Keep praying folks, we know that prayer changes things, people, and situations.

Grammy's

Daddy fell asleep with CJ in the bed. Mommy was not pleased, oh well. It really was not all that bed. Back to the grind now.

Daddy Is On His Way Home

Well I have been away from my Princess for about a day. I must say I am anxious to get home to see her. I heard from Mommy that she was doing fine. These days are far and few. I wish I could have brought her with me. Well I could have but this was a quick trip that would not have been worth it. We will come back to see our family in Virginia very soon. So pray for Daddy as he travels back to the castle.

Prayer changes things, people, and situations.

Missing CJ

Daddy is stuck with no Internet and missing his Princess.

A Little To Easy

OK, we arrive home after a quick trip to get the oil in the car changed and running through Shop Rite to get some essentials for the weekend. CJ is a little on the quiet side and not all over the place. Tonight was Daddy Bath Night and that went off without incident. She ate her dinner and did not toss it all over the place. When I went in the room to put her down for the night she went to the crib without a whimper. This is so atypical of CJ going to bed. Atypical but I will take it. I prefer this type of evening over the evenings where she cries for no reason. So Cj is sleeping soundly now and Daddy is watching the real world. A little odd tonight but peaceful. You all keep praying this may become the norm. Prayer changes things, people, and situations.

Blowout City

This is a highlight night. Daddy had to go back to the school to support the basketball coach. CJ on the other hand fell asleep in the car on the way from the babysitters. Mommy called the sitter and found out that CJ did not take a nap today so we decided to take her coat off and put her to bed. Daddy went to the game and came home and CJ was still sleeping. The game was a blowout so nothing to report to CJ. At least Mommy got to do some laundry in peace and did not have to chase CJ around the house. So nothing eventful tonight, CJ played catch up with her sleep tonight.

So folks keep the prayers going up for us. They are working! Prayer changes things, people, and situations!

Surgery

Well we finally went to the ENT Specialist today and what we knew all along was confirmed. CJ has enlarged adenoids. Therefore it is suggested that she has surgery to removed them. Daddy is confident that the procedure will go well and CJ will be able t breath a lot better because of it. She will no longer be congested and her sleeping will be a lot more comfortable.

Daddy promised CJ that he would be there to pick her up today and he made good of his promise. Yesterday Daddy did not see CJ when she arrived home so today had to be different. Daddy loves to see his Princess running to him and embracing his legs and saying, Daddy! Even though I had a great day at work today that moment makes any day brighter.

We had dinner at IHOP tonight and CJ hit a busboy, spoke to all the customers, and felt the need to yell whenever she wanted too. Sometimes it is cute, sometimes it gets on my nerves, sometimes she gets really loud. Mommy always says, "I wonder where she gets that from?" I looked at CJ tonight and really saw that she looks a lot like her Daddy. Daddy said, wow, lol! I love this kid!

Keep praying for us as a Daddy/Daughter combo. Pray that we grow closer as we both get older. Cover our ups and downs now. Prayer changes things, people. and situations.

NOTE TO CJ: God please continue to keep moving in our lives. Thank you for making a way out of no way! CJ, in ALL your ways acknowledge him and he SHALL direct your paths.

Calling For Daddy

Daddy was not home when CJ arrived home. Daddy had to stay at work a little longer due to a organizational function. So Mommy and CJ received a ride home. When Daddy talked to Mommy during his ride home, Mommy shared with him that CJ was calling for him when they reached the house. That made Daddy get goosebumps. Daddy was so happy that he wanted to wake CJ up to give her a super hug and kiss once he was home but he let her sleep.

Daddy hates being away from his Princess but always has her on his mind. He wonders what she is doing, what she is saying, what she is destroying, and anything else she can think to get into. Daddy's girl is a top priority and anytime away feels like loss time. Prayerfully she will understand why she must share her Daddy but with that understanding comes full knowledge that she has him all to herself in reality.

Keep praying for us folks, prayer changes things, people, and situations.

I will highlight on today during the day tomorrow. Have a great night.

Pancake Mornings

Well it was not IHOP but the pancakes were just as good. Daddy's meeting was cancelled so the breakfast plans needed to be altered. They both wish they could have gone back to bed but Daddy still had business to conduct up north. Besides Mommy was still sick and needed to be alone. So we headed up north Daddy driving and CJ riding in the back. As soon as we hit Daddy's block and CJ laid eyes on the house she began to whine. Could she really associate it with getting her hair done? I asked her why she was crying and told her that her hair was done and that she needed to cut the noise out. We arrived on time for breakfast Daddy's Mommy made pancakes so CJ and Daddy were in heaven. CJ's Pop overflowed her pancakes with Syrup and her great-grandmother came to add some more. Mommy might have had a heart attack if she was present. CJ was in her clinging mode and in the back of her mind were thoughts of getting her hair done. This came to light when Daddy's mother picked up a comb to do her own hair to leave. CJ began to cry hysterically and attempted to get out of her high chair. Daddy wondered what was wrong and when he realized it he comforted CJ and CJ decided it would be best to cling to him for the rest of the time.

Daddy got his windshield repaired and when we dropped the car off CJ's Aunt NeNe accompanied us. Since CJ was good with her she bought CJ some Cheese Doodles and CJ feasted on the entire bag. On the ride home from the very non-nutritious food she ate in the morning CJ fell asleep for a good long while. The morning together was cool. CJ is really getting big and beginning to take in a lot more. SHe is saying her letters, attempting her name and recalling information. It is a joy to see her grow. Keep praying for us folks, we need it. Things still need to be worked out but we are leaving it ALL in God's hand. We stand firm that prayer changes things, people, and situations!

What A Week

Yes we had more snow but that was nothing compared to what CJ and Daddy went through this week. First, we must give God all the praise for bringing us through alright. We took some bumps and bruises and we may have some lasting knots on our heads but we are here and we thank God. We I have to start with the ride home Tuesday to refresh your memory. As we approached the Victory Bridge which connects Perth Amboy and Sayreville, New Jersey Daddy heard a sound that he has heard before which he does not like. When he turned he saw a sight he never likes to see. That sound and sight were of CJ vomiting all over herself. Not one huge projectile but two. All Daddy could say was, "I do not believe this." Then he asked Mommy to deal with it because he can not take the smell of vomit at all. All this happens when we have nowhere to pull over and a 6:00pm follow up to the Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist. So instead of going directly to the doctor we now had to go home, clean CJ up and then stuff her into her old car seat. (Which is much smaller and come on, who has a spare?) Please remember there was an ice storm looming. We get to the doctor's office to be met by his assistant who tells us that he was called into the hospital. Daddy is just like, just my luck. Mommy is fuming and wanted to know why he would schedule visits when he knew he was on call. Daddy now knows to call before we walk out the door next time.

Now to Tuesday night, Mommy begins to feel ill. Daddy had already planned to stay home with CJ because Mommy had done so before. The only problem was that the girl was not acting sick. She was eating and yapping her mouth two things she does all the time. Daddy even told her, "You better act sick if I have to stay home." Then we begin to look out the window and the precipitation began to fall. We all go to sleep and Mommy gets a call that school is closed and Daddy received a call telling him to bring his behind to work. They did give Daddy an extra two hours.

It is now Thursday morning and we run late because Mommy wanted to reenact what CJ did in the car. Daddy say's, "OMG!" He really thinks MOmmy should stay at home but she decided otherwise. She is stubborn. Sadly, she spent most of the day in the bathroom and sounded horrible when Daddy spoke to her. So now Daddy has to play decoy so Mommy can get rest and CJ does not get sick again. Touch task when CJ is just like her Mommy, stubborn. We do manage to have Daddy/Daughter bath time and CJ went right to sleep.

This morning Mommy reluctantly and painfully stayed home. It was best for her. Cj and Daddy prayed with her and departed. On the ride home CJ really missed her Mommy, she kept calling for her. In the Shop Rite, yes CJ's favorite store she spoke to the other customers. She is such a social and polite child. One lady behind us in line could not believe she was one and a half and talking so much. Daddy said, "Too much!" We left the store and made our way home. Daddy was able to manage his stuff along with CJ and all the bags. He does not see how Mommy does it. He was pooped when he reached the top of the stairs but Mommy and CJ both have all they need.

Daddy has prepared CJ's bag for tomorrow and she is asleep a this moment. Daddy/Daughter Hangout Day tomorrow. Breakfast at IHOP and then who knows what else. Just please pray for Mommy to get healthy, CJ to remain healthy, and Daddy not to get sick. Also pray for God to continue making a way for the Johnson's of Old Bridge. In our home we believe that prayer changes things, people, and situations. We fit every category!

Daddy MD

Not much to say tonight. Mommy is sick and in bed. CJ is doing much better and is in bed. Daddy is checking in on them both but is not trying to get sick. Please pray for us and for God to work our situations out. Prayer changes things, people, and situations. The Johnson's of Old Bridge need you!

Ice Storm

Today was another one of those days where Mommy and CJ were able to stay home while Daddy had to go out and brave the elements. At least this time Daddy's job notified him with enough time which allowed him to go back to sleep. Usually Daddy is up and showering before the call comes. CJ who yesterday had a bout with illness was sleeping well until she decided to join Mommy and Daddy in bed. Daddy quickly moved CJ back so he and Mommy could be comfortable. When Daddy left this morning he told Mommy he would keep her in prayer because CJ was wired and ready to go. By the time Daddy left CJ was eating breakfast. Well, Daddy ate CJ's oatmeal she did not want it and he did not want to waste it. While driving to work, Daddy received a call from Mommy telling him that he took food from his daughters mouth. CJ was standing at the fridge demanding more food. When the door was opened for her she told you what she preferred to eat.

The Ride Home

OK, I fell asleep but I am up now and had to get this down. During the ride home CJ vomitted all over herself. It was bad, Daddy has a week stomach so he had to ride home with the window down as cold as it was. After she gave up everything she had she went to sleep. Her timing could not be worse. CJ had an appointment at 6PM and the clean up was messy. She also ruined her car seat and we only have one that she actually can fit in now. So Mommy cleaned her up was able to get her things into the wash. We rushed to get all this done to get to the ENT Specialist and find out he just left because he was on call. Not what we wanted to hear after what we just went through and a looming ice storm.
