As you all know CJ has been sick for the past few days. She is still recuperating nicely but still has a ways to go. One of the side effects from her medicine is insomnia and CJ has a full blown case of it. Her sleeping is all out of sorts. She sleeps for two hours then wakes up. At night she is not going to sleep until well after her normal time. Like tonight it is 11:06pm and she is still up and active. I should do what I did last night and that was to take her outside for a walk. She felt the fresh air and she was calm. She laid in my arms and observed the dark nighttime sky. I concluded that the fresh air did her well.
Today we all were home together. Mommy and Daddy originally had plans but they fell through. I am sad that they did not happen but I am glad the weekend was free so I could be hear for my princess. Normally I would have had a itinerary full of meetings and events that I would have had to cancel. In my life, my family is "numero uno!" So this morning Daddy decided he would have Mommy and CJ ride with him while he accomplished a few tasks. One reason was that he hates driving alone, he does that every day of the week. the other was to get them out of the house. Looking at the same set of walls for three days straight would drive anyone crazy before long. He was precise too, usually Daddy likes to linger when he has nothing to do but today everything was done in a timely manner to ensure CJ was home to get hat rest she could. Daddy hypothesis was correct, once she was out in that fresh air for a while she began to doze off. Once we were headed home she was out for the count and slept for a good while too. Perhaps that is the reason why she is still awake now.
I will report out that CJ is handling sickness well. Her appetite is still intact, she is still all over place and her spirits are high. The only thing that CJ nor Daddy and Mommy have adjusted to is the results of the medicine. So as I conclude today pray for us all. We know that prayer can and will change things, people, and situations.
