I Don't Want To Go To Sleep!

The biggest fight of the day comes shortly after CJ is bathed and dressed for the evening. Daddy and Mommy understand this time is for CJ to lay down and go to sleep. CJ believes that this time should be used for her to exert all the energy she has left. So when she hears those dreadful words, "Tell Daddy night, night", of course she lets the waterfalls flow and the loud screams come. Now usually she is screaming because she is so tired she can not help herself. Mommy has more will power and can put her down without a second thought. Daddy may have three or four, lol! Today went well, CJ is enjoying her time back with her original sitter. The ride into work is without crying and hurt heart on Daddy and Mommy's part.

So the day is coming to an end. CJ got the opportunity to see and pester her Uncle Nuni. Then her grandmother and great grandmother came to pick him up and she recognized their voices so of course she needed to see them. CJ is sound asleep and Daddy will be soon. Be blessed!

Fell Off Big Time

So it is 12:51am on November 21, 2011 as I begin to write. I should be sleep but I am not. It has been a long, long, time since I have blogged last. So much has gone on in the lives of CJ and her Daddy. I knew there would come a time were Daddy would not be able to post a daily entry but life continues and Daddy had to make adjustments. These past few months have been interesting. Learning that we were pregnant again and that CJ would be a big sister. Daddy being promoted on the job but having to perform three jobs until a new person was hired, which to date has not happened. The family having to move in one day and still currently living out of boxes and bags. Daddy was called to higher ministry which made him have to study for a test and more meetings. Daddy following football and CJ tagging along. Changes in Mommy's family dynamic and this was all in the past two and a half months. I did not even include the babysitter issues which caused Mommy and Daddy both any sleepless nights. Not to mention being out of the house commuting from 6:30am sometimes until 6:30pm. And when was the last time we sat down to a home cooked meal? Yes folks, a lot has been going on but God has brought us through it all.

Now for CJ this has been an exciting time. CJ now has her own room which is currently being decorated and set-up especially for her. Her room with be her learning center, domain, castle, retreat, and everything else she wants it to be. Hopefully by years end she will be all set up. CJ has also been a part of daycare center visitation. She enjoyed one place and was OK with another. One Daddy does not care how she felt because she will not be going there. It was filthy, it stunk, and they changed kids in the hallway. Not Daddy's cup of tea. At this point we think CJ will remain with the private sitter until September. We have not found much we like and what we do like comes with a hefty price tag.

So it is now 1:30am an Daddy is still awake and about to round out this blog. Cj still never ceases to amaze me. She is now counting forward and backward. She recognizes the number 1-9 and can identify them in different places. She want Daddy to read the same Dora book over and over again. She sings nursery rhymes alone and she speaks in complete sentences. She is doing quite well for a kid whose parents are not around her fifty percent of the time. We wish we were but God will handle that as he sees fit. Welp, I will end on that note today. until the next time which I pray is a lot sooner that later, be blessed!

Too Long

When October has passed hopefully things will get back to normal. Tonight things were abnormal. CJ decided that she wanted to act out in a dining facility. She is patterning her behavior after what she is seeing at the sitter and neither Mommy or Daddy is pleased. She slammed her hand on the table and she through some of her food. Mommy put her in check right then and there. Then Daddy spoke to CJ very sternly outside of the establishment. If it is one thing Daddy will not tolerate, that is a child acting out. We are trying to help her understand that what she does is not OK by holding her accountable for her actions. We pray she will begin to get it sooner than later. Since the last time I wrote CJ continues to grow and to be more assertive. She still has a great personality but this mean streak has to go.

Sleeping Daddy

For the past two nights Daddy has come home and fell asleep really early. He has been really tired so the sleep has helped. so CJ is still not adjusting well with the sitter. In the mornings both Daddy and Mommy have a difficult time with leaving because she does not seem to be pleased.

Filled

Right now Daddy is so filled he doesn't know what to do. The word was so on poin tonight it has him wide awake. Daddy thnaks God for giving him dominion over a garden that is in order. For providing the best helpmate possible to enjoy the garden with. he thanks God for the harvest from the garden. Daddy simply wants to give God the praise because his will is what governs the garden.

The word hit home and Daddy is proud to say that he is the King of his garden and the Queen and Princess support and follow his lead. As long as Daddy is in the will of God the garden is untouchable!

CJ and Mommy are sleeping and another week of Daddy being away more than home is over but this to shall pass.

Hurry Up!

The funniest thing happened today. Everyone knows how Mommy is very selective with regard to the treats CJ gets. So we arrive at the yellow house as the great grandchildren have named it. When we come in CJ walks into the kitchen and sees Briyanna with an ice pop. So like a good big cousin would, Briyanna let CJ have some. So of course everyone in the kitchen laughed because we knew if Mommy saw her, she may not be pleased. So once Briyanna understood the situation CJ had come back for more. Briyanna obliges but this time she tells her to hurry up, lol! Just about then Mommy came in. However CJ left out because the ice pop left out. That was the funny moment of Daddy's day. He needed a laugh too!

SMH, Work!

So I sit here with a stuffy head and major pain in my sinuses. CJ is is sleeping and Mommy is out on the living room couch. To assist with easing the pain Daddy has CJ's humidifier on full blast. Daddy is running on low fuel and his body is beginning to let him know he needs a break. Daddy is trying to listen but duty calls. Another week of being on the rode four out of five nights. Another night of work and church. Daddy had to prepare a lesson as well as study for his examination coming up soon. The car needs brakes so Daddy had to switch cars with his brother to get that done. Daddy still needs to read through resume's and prepare for two events at work. He will be going away next week but that trip will be filled with learning. Daddy works on this Sunday and has a full day Saturday. Where will he find his rest? Does CJ understand why Daddy goes so much? How does Mommy really feel? She is always supportive but does she really just want to chain him down? Does she feel overwhelmed?

Folks tonight Daddy taught about faith. Daddy has full confidence that God will see him through this very hectic stint of life. Not only that, Daddy will be stronger and healthier as a result. Daddy and Mommy are dealing with CJ developing emotions. We knew she always had them but CJ is a wreck in the mornings. So much so we are thinking about moving CJ to another sitter. Nothing against the one we use now but for some reason the pairing is not clicking for CJ. The one thing Mommy and Daddy usual agree on is CJ's best interest. Daddy loves his Princess and wants her to have what she needs in life to be successful and if she knows some things at two then Daddy needs to plan accordingly.

Continue to pray for our family folks. God is not through with us yet. He is our leader and we love him dearly. He still has so much in store for us that will continue to come out for the masses to see.

Daddy had to work and CJ was not happy. This is the first night of many. When Daddy came home CJ was sleep. Daddy prays she understands wjy he must work so much.

Tired

The week starts us with Daddy having no energy. CJ stayed up too late. Lets see how this goes.

Daddy the Slacker

So today is Friday. We made it through this hectic week by the grace of God. In the beginning we did not have a babysitter but God had a ram in the bush for us. When we dropped the former sitter off CJ began to cry hysterically. Both Daddy and Mommy were prepared for this and we knew she would need to be consoled. CJ was in "Hog heaven" this week. She was able to sleep late and she was with "Fucy" and she calls her. I think they both enjoyed each others company and we wish things could be the way this week went all the time. However we looked to next week when we will try to re-acclimate CJ with the new sitter.

Daddy has slacked because he came home and went to sleep early each night. Daddy's body spoke to hi and he had to take his health into consideration. The longs days and nights, the drive and having to study and do work at home got to him and he needed rest. It is ll for a good cause and reason though. Lets pray that daddy continues to give his body rest!

Cj things will be OK. Daddy never wants to see your feelings hurt. I know you really enjoyed this week and you will see "Fucy" again.

The Babysitter Situation

So we needed to switch babysitters, remember? We have not been a month in and we already were confronted with a situation. The new sitter needed a week off. No problem, yeah right that is the case when you have a replacement. A replacement we do not have. So what are we suppose to do? Mommy thought to see if we could get help from the former sitter and she came through.

Monday, September 19, 2011

Tired

Today was a long day. Daddy never got the burst of energy he needed to be get everything done. His body is telling him to slow down and he has to find a way to listen. Daddy just finished helping Mommy prepare for the babysitter tomorrow. We all must make sure we do not get to comfortable with an in house sitter. It is a great concept and so helpful but we know it can not be the reality at this time.

Daddy and Mommy are still trying to fix CJ's mouth. She is using the word shut up a bit too much for he parents and Daddy and Mommy are putting her in check. CJ asked for pizza for dinner and Daddy of course obliged. We have a long way to go with CJ and we are making it our business to build a strong foundation. yes she will not like our responses at times and she will cry and pout but our values and beliefs are too important to waver on.

So you all pray for CJ's development and her fixing her mouth. daddy is tired and is about to lay down now.

A Long Ride

Daddy and CJ enjoyed a long car ride todat. They attended the first birthday party for Marlee. cJ enjoyed herself in the bouncy. Was interested in the clown, and talked to everyone. She is such a talkative child, and social. She even went to sleep without fuss. Early and long day tomorrow. Pray for us.

Friday, September 16, 2011

Another Long Day

Well CJ had a decent day at the babysitter. Daddy had another football game, East Orange blew out Columbia 48-0. When Daddy arrived home both Mommy and CJ were knocked out. Daddy will soon join them.

Thursday, September 15, 2011

Long Day

We had a long day. CJ did get her hair done so we are all happy. Not much for tonight we are all sleepy.

Tuesday, September 13, 2011

Back

CJ was back to the sitter and is almost back to 100%.

Recovery

Today was not the normal Monday. CJ remained asleep while her Daddy and Mommy left this morning. Her grandmother was kind enough to come and babysit while daddy went to work for half the day. Once Daddy arrived home Cj and chilled in his arms. Daddy held conversations and Cj was right there. That remained the situation until Mommy came home. We then all prepared to go to the doctor where he helped us on the road to recovery. We changed her prescription and he prescribed a nebulizer machine to help with the congestion. Already we see a difference and I am glad than my Princess is not in so much pain. It hurt Daddy to watch her cough and hurt and he could do nothing to soothe her or ease her pain. Daddy told CJ that he needed her to be back at 100% because this 50and 60% was not cool at all and she was not fun. So we pray God continues to bless her with good health and that she is back to her normal self real soon.

Still Fighting

Today Daddy missed Sunday worship because CJ is still battling her sickness. When she woke up this morning she had some spunk but the fever still was around. So Daddy made his calls to alert folks of his absence and then sat and held CJ. Mommy went to CVS to get CJ something to help her take the antibiotic. It worked and things began to look good.

Daddy was able to get to see one of his friends deliver the word of God this afternoon. He continued to check in on CJ. Mommy kept him updated and her progress did seem to continue to get better. When Daddy came home CJ was sleep and Daddy discussed the plan for tomorrow. Daddy and Mommy both believe that CJ staying home would be best. Daddy is hoping that the doctor changes the medicine because it seems to upset CJ's tummy. Daddy prays that God removed the fever from her little body.

CJ's Grandma will be with her tomorrow until Daddy returns from work. He has two meetings that he must attend and Mommy has to go to work. We are thankful that Grandma is available to help us out. Daddy just feels better with family assisting with this type of sickness. Keep praying for CJ folks!

Fighting

CJ is still sick but this little girl is fighting. The medicine is making her stomach upset and Mommy has cleaned up more vomit than ever today. Daddy was the bath guy. CJ is eating a little more and drinking water perodically. Neither Mommy or Daddy is happy witb CJ being sick but CJ is not letting it get her down at all. She even managed to get a timeout today too. We are praying for her recovery, pray with us.

Pneumonia

The last place Daddy wanted to spend half of his day was in an emergency room. CJ's health had different plans. When Daddy began to dress CJ this morning her took her temperature and discovered her fever still lingered. That along with the cough she had meant Daddy needed to stay home today. The only thing to figure out was when he would take CJ to the emergency room since the doctor could not see her until Monday. He decided on taking her right after he dropped Mommy off at work. CJ behaved well too. She cooperated with the intake people and was cool in the waiting room. Daddy found out that she is exactly three feet tall today too. CJ got to put on a hospital gown, ride a hospital bed, get x-rays, and she received cookies from her nurse. CJ's blood work came back good and she received antibiotics for the little bit of pneumonia they saw.

CJ was able to come home and after vomiting and taking a bath CJ was done for the day and laid down on the living room floor. CJ never gave in though, she is fighting this tooth and nail until the finish. Daddy is proud of her and hope she gets better real soon.

Thursday, September 8, 2011

11:18pm

So CJ walked into the living room at 10:20pm. Really? Yes she did and now she will not go to sleep. OMG.

Fever

Once Daddy arrived back from his meeting and we all came home we discovered that CJ had a slight fever. After Daddy ran back out to CVS and Mommy bathed her we hope she gets better. Only problem is that when Mommy laid her down CJ found the open lotion Daddy left out. She looked like a monster when Mommy asked Daddy to come in and see what she had done. All Daddy could do was laugh at his Princess, what will we do with CJ?

What Is Labor Day?

Well on the way back from the mountains Daddy received a call from his Daddy. The question posed was why we did not call CJ this morning? Daddy's answer was because he would not have but Mommy answered that she slept late. In any event it was Labor Day, right? Well no because daddy rested only a little bit. Daddy is the number one proponent in ending this ridiculous holiday. The fact of the matter is that, a Monday off to Daddy is wasted because on Tuesday you have to go back to work. Daddy proposes that we now make Labor Day a Friday. This way at least you do not have to wake up the next morning for work. I wonder how far that thought would go.

CJ was glad to see us when we arrived. She enjoyed her time with her grandparents and cousins. Her great-grandmother even says, that we do not have to worry about her defending herself because she did that well in dealing with her big cousin Briyanna!
CJ is a tough cookie, feisty when she wants to be as well. Daddy and Mommy are getting her in check though.

She went to sleep rather quietly tonight, Daddy guesses she was tired. It is back to our normal routine full on tomorrow. Let us see how things go. Let us also pray that CJ is a little more adjusted with the new sitter.

CJ Bounced

Today Daddy and Mommy attended a wedding out of town. This meant that CJ had to stay with Grandma. When we dropped her off Mommy said goodbye and CJ was off. CJ did not even look back. Now Daddy is glad she did not cry, but she could have at least recognized Daddy and Mommy were leaving. Oh well, Daddy had a blast at the wedding and he hopes CJ did as well.

9-3-11

We stayed home most of the day. Lazy and eating. Not a good thing.

Thursday, September 1, 2011

Not A Good Morning

Cj did not have a good morning. She cried when we dropped her off today. When we picked her up she was a little better but CJ is clearly missing her Mommy. The time they spent together this summer meant a lot to her and now her routine is changing drastically and CJ is not taking it well.

On the way home she did tell bothe Mommy and Daddy that she like the new sitter which is a good thing. Daddy just prays that her comfort level continues to grow. That would make all of our days easier to cope with. As Daddy left out for a football game tonight he told CJ he loved her and CJ told him she loved him back. As Daddy keeps saying, "CJ is his partner!"

No Worries Mommy

Well today was CJ's first day with the new babysitter. This is a day that the family has been anticipated all summer long. Well today we all woke up and started the day in prayer of course. We then left out towards Perth Amboy. We arrived at the sitter and Daddy watched CJ survey her new surroundings. She clung to Mommy a little bit but warmed up well. Daddy waved to her and told her bye and Mommy did the same. Praise God, not one peep out of CJ. When Mommy called Daddy later in the day she informed him that she still had not cried.

When we arrived to pick Cj up the sitter let us no that CJ did not ask for Mommy, but she did ask for her Daddy. CJ is Daddy's partner and they have a great connection. They are like to peas ina pod. Daddy prays that tomorrow will be just like today. The new sitter seems to know her stuff. We will continue to pray that she and CJ mesh well, as well as CJ with the other children she will now be interacting with.

A Park Kid

Daddy received a picture from his sister with the disclaimer that CJ had been accepted as a Certified Park Kid. Mommy went out tonight, finally and Daddy had a meeting at church. he was going to take CJ with him but figured she would enjoy the park more and he was right. Her great-grandmother said that she walked around the park with her. It is nice that CJ is able to see history as she grows, not many people will see back three generations in their family. Once we came home today CJ did not put up to much fuss, she went to sleep a little quicker than normal and we are thankful.

Putting Things In Perspective

This was a long day for Daddy. After being trapped in the house all weekend, today he had to venture out to work. This weekend was full of relaxation and chasing behind CJ. Daddy and CJ both are hyper and do not do well cooped up in a house for to long. This is just another reason we know that CJ is the direct offspring of her daddy. Last night during every live performance at the Video Music Video awards, CJ wanted to dance with her father at that very moment. Now Daddy enjoyed it for the first two songs but after song six and seven we definitely knew who the elder was and that was Daddy.

So after being worn out by his daughter all weekend Daddy slept well last night and then had to get up this morning for work. Now all weekend Daddy heard that the area around his job was flooded. The problem was that the job never communicated with the staff workers. So Daddy depended on friends from the area and his students to tell him which way to go. They were a great help as well.

So daddy finally arrived to work after a long commute. The day was productive and he was pleasant throughout. He left a little early to beat traffic back home. Once he got there his baby CJ greeted him with her usual smile and enthusiasm. No matter what, after a long day at work CJ can take all her Daddy's problems away! She is my joy!

Now that becomes a problem when it is bedtime. Daddy can not stand to hear CJ become hysterical. He likes peace and quiet sometimes and when she is left alone and asked to go to bed she goes crazy. However if Daddy goes in the room She will at least stop crying and stomping and then lay down. She will not go to sleep tho but Daddy is at ease.

Mommy says Daddy has to get tough and he knows that but tonight and most nights Daddy just does not want to hear it. We will have to pray for him some tolerance. So now Daddy will be investigating a few bedtime techniques to weaken CJ's fury. Daddy has a lot going on in the next few weeks where he must stay composed and focused. CJ going to bed quietly would help tremendously. God will handle it all and lead Daddy through this most interesting time. Pray for CJ's bedtime antics and Daddy's strength and perseverance. Be blessed all!

Hurricane Irene/Father of the Bride

After a filled week Daddy was able to saty home today. CJ and Mommy were home too. We spent the day resting, Daddy who woke up earliest did not get out of bed to 11AM which anyone who knows him, knows that is rare. He went and brought breakfast and came home to sit around and do nothing all day long.

This weekend the east coast has awaited hurricane Irene. The skies were gray and the rain was misty by day. Now that it is nigt the rain is coming down a lot harder and the wind is blowing. CJ was put to bed earlier but she would not go to bed. Mommy made the statement to Daddy, "I know you are going to get her." Mommy was right, Daddy just figures sometimes it may be easier to get her to sleep with them instead of hearing her scream and cry in the bedroom alone.

While he waited for CJ to go to sleep, Daddy and Mommy watched, Father of the Bride. This movie is what Daddy sees himself doing when CJ gets married. No matter how old she gets she will always be Daddy's little girl. I will have to get this movie stored somehow. Daddy will need it for detox.

Now as the hurricane is nearing, Ddaddy and CJ pray we keep power and no one gets hurt. God is in control and we patiently wait for him to do what he feels necessary. You all be blessed.

Earthquake

Today was the first time in his life that Daddy felt an earthquake. No, he was not at home with his family he was at work. Daddy tried calling home but noone picked up. When Daddy fianally was able to reach Mommy, she and CJ were OK and Mommy knew nothing about the quake.

On the ride home Daddy spoke to CJ and she told him to be safe on the way home. Mommy told Daddy that CJ was saying that Daddy is at work and that he was not here, also Daddy go bye-bye. Daddy assured CJ that he would see her in a few and when he walked in was greeted by her loud hello's and a radiant smile. It warms Daddy's heart when CJ is so excited to see him. He is also glad that Mommy lets CJ know that Daddy is out working. It is important for CJ to understand that her parents work hard to ensure that she is well fed and taken care of. This is help her to understand that she must work hard for everything she wants in life.

So without any knowledge, CJ survived her first earthquake. Daddy did too! To God be the glory!

Mommys Day Off

Daddy and CJ gave mommy the day off.

I Give Myself Away

So today Daddy prepared to share a word from the Lord. As part of his preparation he needed to hear a few songs throughout the day. Now on a regular day Daddy listens to a lot of music. One song he sings a lot is Choppa Choppa Down. CJ has heard him sing it so much that when he says, "Choppa, Choppa, CJ fills in the down part." Daddy is glad he nor CJ knows the rest of the song. However there is a song that Daddy sung today and CJ knew the words and began to sing with him. It was a shouting moment in the house becasue Cj began to sing the words, "I give myself away." Now Daddy does not know about any of you but if his child is singing praise to the Lord offering herself to him he will shout about it and give him all the praise. God has his hand on our family and on our child and Daddy prays CJ will always have a song in her heart and never be ashamed to sing praises to our God! The lyrics are below just in caase you need to be blessed on today.

I Give Myself Away by William McDowell

Chorus:
I give myself away
I give myself away
So You can use me
I give myself away
I give myself away
So You can use me

Verse 1:
Here I am
Here I stand
Lord, my life is in your hands
Lord, I’m longing to see
Your desires revealed in me
I give myself away

Verse 2:
Take my heart
Take my life
As a living sacrifice
All my dreams, all my plans
Lord I place them in your hands

Chorus:
I give myself away
I give myself away
So You can use me
I give myself away
I give myself away
So You can use me

Chorus:
I give myself away
I give myself away
So You can use me
I give myself away
I give myself away
So You can use me

Bridge(7X):
I am not my own
To you I belong
I give myself, I give myself to You
Chorus:
I give myself away
I give myself away
So You can use me

Fucy "Lucy"

As CJ is nearing one of the first tough transitions in her life Daddy wonders just how difficult it will really be fore her. From the time she was a small baby she has been with one babysitter. Starting in September things will change. Due to circumstances beyond Daddy and Mommy's control a near caretaker for CJ needed to be found. Not only had Daddy and Mommy become comfortable with the current sitter, CJ made herself part of the family. They have grow with CJ and all consider her family. CJ, now that she talk calls her sitter "Fucy". So today when she was dropped of Mommy asked Daddy if she should tell CJ that Fucy would not be there? As soon as CJ recognized where she was she began to call out Fucy's name. Daddy suggested no and Mommy agreed.

As usual CJ made herself at home and when we went to pick CJ up the report was that she had not taken a nap. The always leads to a delirious CJ at home and today was no different. Whenever CJ stays in one place, lays all over the place, and listens to what her parents say, she normally is sleepy. So after only five minutes of tantrum she was out like a light.

Daddy will admit that the transition will be tough. not only for CJ but for himself as well as Mommy. No one really likes change but in life it is inevitable. You can never prepare for it, you do however need to work through it. Daddy prays that CJ works with her parents during the transition which will help to make it as smooth as possible. Lets pray for us all during this time of change.

$2

Today when Daddy came home he was greeted by a screaming daughter. She her the door open and took off towars the stairs. Daddy could hear Mommy telling CJ to wait so he quickly looked up and motioned for CJ to stay put. CJ actually listened for a change and waited for Daddy to come up the stairs. We he got to the top daddy gave CJ a hi-five.

Daddy brought chicken in for dinner tonight and wanted to eat quickly. However not as quick as CJ who intead of allowing her food to cool down went into the fridge and took her checken leg out. She did let the rice cool though. She then as always proceeded to try and get into Daddy's plate. Why she does this we may never know.

CJ went to sleep without incident today. Mommy said that she had not taken a nap so it was only a matter of time. Daddy is glad becasue the tantrums were becoming a bit much. Now the $2, CJ came to Daddy and just kept saying two dollars. Daddy asked her is she wanted $2 but she said no. Mommy then informed him f the yellwo paper that CJ referred to all day with regard to the $2. Daddy ws glad, at least he got to keep his money in his pocket!

Mommys Phone

CJ lost mommys phone three days ago. Today it is still missing. CJ told Daddy, I miss you Daddy, I love you Daddy. How special Daddy felt.

Tuesday, August 16, 2011

Touchy, Touchy

You can tell CJ not to touch something and it is like your talking to a wall. Today it was the speakers Daddy had connected to the laptop. Daddy did not want her to touch them since they were playing very loudly. So CJ is told to put the speaker down, instead she chooses to put the speaker all the way up to her ear. Daddy knows this is not a good thing that is why he tried to help his daughter. However her stubborness and attitude cause her to want to do what she wants to do, when she wants too.

This child is a trip and a half. Peopl always ask how she is doing and Daddy tells them wise beyond her years, lol! We are working on Ms. CJ, she will learn how to listen one way or another.

A Fight On Our Hands

So as soon as the Princess tunred two she decided to do things by the book. CJ's attitutde is becoming more and more terrible. She is not paying attention when she should. She purposely does the opposite of what she is told. She will not eat her dinner, instead she will put cheesy bread in her hair and push food on the floor, and putting CJ to bed has become more of a chre than anyone would want. If you were to tell people they would say that she is going through the terrible twos. Daddy does not want to believe that. CJ needs to learn what she can and can not do. She must understand that she should listen to her parents. Daddy will not chalk this up to developmental behavior. he may place the blame on her stubborness and yes, her being spoiled. Daddy will admit a little of her issue may be because he can not bear to hear her crying in hysteria. he is not as tough as Mommy is in that area. All he hears is that his Princess is cryin and he wants to stop it. Daddy knows that will create a monster and is dealing with how he will overcome this. until then you all pray for Daddy because CJ will have to learn and he will have to toughen up with regard to her. Enjoy the rest of this cool evening.

When CJ Get's Tired

Folks, when CJ gets tired she is a big mess. This morning we had to get to 8am Worship and CJ course her usual self once she woke up fully. Now she behaved well in church but afterwards she wanted things to go her way. CJ almost got her little self left at the church because her Mommy refused to pick her up. Luckily for CJ her "Pop" was near and picked her up and escorted her to the car. CJ was more than grateful.

Once we arrived to "the yellow house" CJ is was in full gear. She was all over the house. On the table, pulling plants, on the computer, and anything else she could get to that was not nailed down. Her great-grandmother bought her a toy that lit up and CJ was all into it. She stays near her great-grandmother because she knows she will get fed when she does and she has not been failed yet. CJ still has to learn to listen and not touch things she should not though. She was getting tired after brunch and would not settle down with no one. Mommy had to literally hold CJ and not let her down to get her to relax a little. Mommy and Daddy both knew CJ was tired and when she got to the car she began to doze off and finally about midway down the fist leg of the trip home she was asleep.

It is sometimes funny when CJ gets tired because she does bot now what to do with herself. Deep down within I figure she wants to say, "OK I quit and will go to sleep." However her body continues to do whatever it it able to do. Sometimes it leads her to do the wrong things and then she gets into trouble. Daddy does not like to see CJ in trouble and tries to help her out but sometimes she is in too deep to help. One day she will learn that when she is tired she should just lie down. Be blessed folks!

Walmart

CJ has been wanting to go to Walmart for a few days now. Daddy was able to honor her request today, She got herself some crayons and paper and was satisfied.

For August 12th

CJ and Daddy went to Sesame Place. We both were tired when we came home. CJ got to see Elmo too. Oh yeah and Cookie Monster.

Up All Night

CJ has the capability to stay up all night if she is allowed too. She can beat her sleep easily and if you mention any word that relates to sleep she will begin to get antsy and cranky. She does all this while on the inside she probably is already sleeping.

Tonight CJ irritated Mommy a little bit so Daddy had to step in and discipline CJ. CJ knows what she does a lot of the time but sometimes she is just trying to pay but she may be to rough or she chooses the wrong time. Daddy asked her to sit next to him and go to sleep. She managed to get the first one right.

We have to pray that CJ transition with listening happens fast. daddy knows she must go through this phase but she has to work with her parents a little bit. The bad thing is that she has both of her parents personality and that equals stubborn.

So as she continues to fight her sleep Daddy changes CJ and then takes her to bed. She is very upset but Daddy had to do it. Even though he does not mind her staying up he has to keep the upper hand. Until tomorrow folks, take care of yourselves.

2- Year Old Visit

Today was CJ's scheduled visit to the doctor. Daddy had to take her alone because Mommy had her own doctors appointment at the same time. CJ was a bit loud because when we entered the office she saw a picture of Elmo on the wall. So we all know there was no calming her down after that. CJ had a good visit, she is growing rapidly as she always has. The 90% is where she hangs out. The doctor was thrilled to see how big she had become. She of course cried when the doctor entered the room. I really do not understand why she acts like that. The rest of the day was spent with C getting into trouble. She really needs to curb her attitude. She has been catching tantrums when she does not get her way. We usually ignore her but today she needed to be talked to sternly. She is getting a little beside herself and both Mommy and Daddy are taking part in correcting her. She believes that if she smiles at Daddy or clings to him he will stop being mad but she has to understand it does not act like that.

Today she finally said those magic words, "I love you Daddy!" That erased all of her problems for today but Daddy knows he has to be strong and stick to his toughness. Pray for Daddy folks, prayer will work this situation out!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRINCESS CJ!

My baby girl is two years old today. God has blessed her to see another birthday. CJ has been such a blessing in her Daddy's life. Daddy thanks God for her daily and prays that she is always protected and cared for and that he is the best example of a man she could ever have. When Daddy is laying in bed and CJ wakes up and say's "Wake up Daddy or Good Morning Daddy," brings joy to his heart. When she runs to him and says, "Daddy!" His heart melts and a huge smile comes upon his face. These past two years have been great, the bond between Daddy and CJ is growing more and more. CJ likes reading, loves to dance, and sing. CJ also will toss around the ball when she gets ready. She sits well in church, is the most well-mannered child you will ever know and she communicates with others well.

Being CJ's Daddy has continued my maturation process into manhood. Daddy has become more of a homebody and her well-being and desires are Daddy's pleasure. Daddy has begun to think about how he must position himself to ensure a bright future for CJ. CJ is a great kid and deserves the best of everything. God has blessed Daddy to be a blessing to his Princess. Daddy prays that he will continue to allow God to order his steps and let God's will be done in his life. Daddy wants to lead the life God wants him to lead. that life is the best one for CJ to be reared in. So let us keep praying. Prayer still changes things, people, and situations. I will end using that coin phrase today. Now I will begin with different ones daily. God is Great and will get all of Daddy and CJ's praise.

T-Shirt Time

Daddy had the bright idea to take CJ out of the crib since she was not sleepy yet. So of course CJ is now tired and messing with daddy as he tries to watch the New Season of Jersey Shore. Now she is tired and messing with everything in site. Daddy just put her in bed, she fussed a little but then calmed down. She will not heat T-Shirt time but she will get some rest.

We had a good day, CJ saw he Pop and ran to him when she heard him come in. Just pray she begins to go to sleep with ease. Prayer changes things, people, and situations.

P.S. Mommy was not to happy with the mvoe so she went into the bedroom and left Daddy to fend for himself.

Birthday Gift

CJ's birthday is Sunday and Daddy has not a clue of what he will get her for a gift. Daddy does noit like stuff that will not be memorable. He would much rather find her a keepsake that will grow with her or be a milestone gift. Last year was a horse, all kids have to et one of those. Now Daddy is stuck with year two. So now he must think about this and does not have time to do so. We shallsee what he comes up with. Pray for him, prayer changes things, people, and situations.

High 5 Daddy

Today CJdid the following:

*When we came home Daddy let her run to the house. Normally she turns at our door but today she kept running. Both Daddy and Mommy stopped and watched her Daddy called her name and she turned around, smiled, and then proceeded to run further. Daddy them went after her and she decided to lie in the grass, pull it up, and then put it in her mouth. Daddy got there in the nick of time and retrieved most of it but he is sure she digested some.

*During dinner CJ was in a goofy state of mind. She decided to tap her fingers on the table then proceeded to give her Mommy and Daddy hi-fives. This went on for a while before Daddy asked her to be a serios child not a goofy one. CJ then laughed some more.

*Today she got in trouble with Daddy and CJ really does not like to be in trouble. After she was allowed to get up fron her chair she came to her Daddy. She would not do anything until she told Daddy she was sorry and he held her. Daddy comforted her and exlained why she was in trouble. It was a touching moment for him.

Pray that Daddy and CJ always have a positive and respectful relationship where he respects her and she respects him. Prayer changes things, people, and situations.

A School Week

Yes it is the summer but Daddy and CJ are in the midst of it being like a regular work week.

A Big Brunch

Daddy has been waiting todo this for a long time and today the opportunity presented itself. Daddy has gone to a deli called Harolds a lot for lunch and usually gets sandwiches. During his last trip there he realized that the deli also served breakast so he decided then that he would take the family one day. Now when he decided today would be the day he figured that his entire family would partake in a meal together, for this place makes it possible for two or more to eat from one plate. However Mommy chose not to eat breakfast with Daddy and CJ and wanted a hamburger instead. Now Daddy knew the meals were big but was not ready for the plate he received. Thank God for the waiter warning Daddy not to get three pancakes. When he brought it out Daddy saw why, the pancake was the size of a larger pizza. So big that Daddy and CJ together did not even eat a third of it. We will not even mention the eggs and bacon with the potoatoes we never touched. CJ seemed to like the pancake but was not too hungry after she had a milk prior to arrival and orange juice at the table. The report on Harold's breakfast is a good one and Mommy promised to eat with the family the next time we go.

Once we arrived home CJ was pooped. We were out a little longer than expected and it wore her out I gather. When we came in the house she went to sleep and Daddy was able to watch the Food Netowrk in peace. Usually she takes ownership of the television so its Nick Jr. or nothing. While playing she fell on her face today and her lip is swollen but you all know CJ, she takes a licking and keeps on ticking. She cried but was ready to play with Daddy when he grabbed her bouncy ball. She is a tough cookie and growing more and more tough as she grows. Let us all pray she stays in one peace as she dares to do more. Prayer changes things, people, and situations.

NOTE TO CJ: Take your time sometime, do not always be in such a hurry!

She Ate Well

Due to funeral planning daddy was not at the house much today. He gave CJ and kiss when he left and she seemed to be OK with this. Daddy des not know if she just getting use to him leaving her, or was it that she truly understood that today was different and that Daddy would be back. Nevertheless when Daddy came home today he brought dinner in with him fr his two ladies. Daddy noticed that CJ ate particularly well today. She was not messy and she actually ate most of her food. Daddy noticed it and congratulated her. Daddy enjoys watching her be more and more of a big girl. That is about it tonight folks. Keep us prayed up. Prayer changesthings, people, and situations.

Home

I am home! Let the good times roll. Daddy's program is over and he came straight home to CJ. Let us pray that we both have some fun. Prayer changes things, people, and situations. Daddy is tired, stay tuned for more.

An Overnight Look

Circumstances allowed Daddy to gaze upon CJ tonight. While he was driving home he heard her voice but when he arrived she was sleepand Daddy honored Mommy's request not to bother her. Pray for Daddy he will need to be stronger than usual but with God he will be OK. Prayer changes things, people, and situations! One more night until Daddy is home for good.

A Few More Days

Daddy is proud to report that he will onlybe away from his Princess a few more nights. Then as Mommy reminded both CJ and her Daddy that Daddy Bath Night will be back into full effect. No worried because Daddy is very much looking forward to it. Daddy did manage to hear from CJ today so he is content. We will count down the days until they come to an end. YOu all pray that Daddy and CJ make it through! Prayer changes things, people, and situations! God is MOVING!

The Last One

This is the last Sunday night that Daddy had to leave CJ. Cj did not care for it nor did Daddy. Mommy did the best should could to make the transition smooth but it did not work for the both of them. Pray for Daddy and Cj, they will get through it! Prayer changes things, people, and situations.

Reading is FUNdamental!

Today Daddy and CJ needed to burn a few hours while Mommy got her hair done. So what better place than the mall. While looking around daddy saw that Borders was going out of business so he decided to stroll in. Daddy desires that CJ develops a love for reading. It is something he does not have but does all he can to encourage it with her. So Daddy let CJ pick out a book, of course it weas Dora and then he picked up a few more for her. She read one book as we went throughout the mall and then as we drove to get Mommy. Now you might be saying she can not read. I say to you, she holds the book properly, turns the pages in intervals and says words. That is reading to me. Now she may not know what she is reading but that will come.

Let us continue to pray for CJ and her intellectual growth. Daddy will do all he can to encourage and support her growth as well as epose her to the world beyond her wildest imagination. Prayer changes things, people, and situations! Reading will always be FUN in the Johnson household.

NOTE TO CJ: Book open your mind to so much. Never stop reading, there is always more to know and see.

Sesame Place Part Deux

Today the heat index read 107 degrees. So instead of staying home or hanging in the mall to steal AC. Daddy, CJ, and Mommy decided to keep to there scheduled plan to visit Sesame Place with the Brown's. The smart thing was that the visit was schedueld for later in the day. So even though everyone slept late and we were off to a sluggish start we made our war to Langhorne, Pennsylvania.

The first only only destination was the water. No matter what it was we made our way there. CJ fussed in the lazy river and was happy for our early exit. We then went to the wading pool where she had more fun. Daddy took her to stand under the bucket as it poured over top of us both. It was so refreshing but CJ was not pleased. She eventually began to enjoy herself and by the end of the night rode all the rides with her Mommy. Daddy rode the Big Bird Twirly ride with her and felt it was to high for him. We got back in the lazy river and CJ had fun this time. She was a trooper and stayed awake through the night time parade and the walk back to the car. She did not las tlong on the ride home but she deserved her sleep. We can not wait until the next time.

We will pray that Sesame Place is not the only place we can get season passes to next year. Prayer changes things, people and situations!

CJ and Dora

CJ's favorite character is Dora, and when Daddy sees something with Dora on it he usually gets it for CJ. Today to go along with her Dora swimsuit Daddy sought out a Dora beach towel for which CJ now lays on like a blanket.

Daddy was feeling good today so when he came home he and his ladies went out to dinner. The restaurant was a new one for the family named Bensi. Daddy felt the food was average and took extrememly to long to get to the table. CJ, however enjoyed her food, well the bread and Daddy's brocoli. Daddy did not intend to share but she insited and he obliged. CJ was on her best behavior until the end when she tried to hand the waiter a brocoloi rod she had chewed on.

Daddy and CJ are preparing for Sesame place tomorrow. It will be very hot but the only thing on the agenda is getting in the water. We pray that we both stay comfortable and hve a great time. Prayer changes things, people, and situations.

Not A Word 7-20-11

Daddy has not heard from his Princess all day long. "Houston, we have a problem." Daddy believes it is now time to implement some rules of contact. Some days at work youo can get wrapped up in your responsibilites that anythig you wanted to do does not get done. Calling his Princess was on his miind but the second did not come to do so. He prays that she had an enjoyable and productive day. One more week and I am home daily! Pray for Mommy becasue Daddy and CJ are back together real soon! Prayer changes things, people, and situations and Mommy will be in a tough one, lol.

Daughters

Everyone knows how much Daddy loves songs about Daughters. Daddy heard a new song today that he really likes so he wants to share it with CJ so she has the lyrics. Since he is missing her a whole bunch at the moment this song helped to make him smile and get through the night.

Daughters Lyrics
Artist(Band):John Mayer

I know a girl
She puts the color inside of my world
But she's just like a maze
Where all of the walls are continually changed
And I've done all I can
To stand on her steps with my heart in my hands
Now I'm starting to see
Maybe it's got nothing to do with me

Fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers, be good to your daughters too

Oh, you see that skin?
It's the same she's been standing in
Since the day she saw him walking away
Now I'm left
Cleaning up the mess he made

So fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers, be good to your daughters too

Boys, you can break
You'll find out how much they can take
Boys will be strong
And boys soldier on
But boys would be gone without the warmth from
A womans good, good heart

On behalf of every man
Looking out for every girl
You are the guide and the weight of her world

So fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers, be good to your daughters too [x3]

This evening was rough for Daddy. He misses his Princess and some nights it is more rough than others. Pray for Daddy, this summer situation may be coming to an end soon. Prayer changes things, people, and situations.

The Cold Shoulder for July18

Stopped home today and Daddy was given the cold shoulder by CJ. When it was time for him to say goodbye, he said, "Bye CJ." Normally Daddy would get a salutation back. He would at least get a smile or a whimper. Today however, CJ gave her Daddy an under the eye look and shrugged her shoulder. CRUSHED was how Daddy walked down the stairs and out the door. His Princess is not happy with the current state of coming and going and quite frankly could care less that her Daddy is working. CJ wants her due time. No money can buy it and no gift will do. she wants her Daddy. This pierces Daddy because CJ has made a choice for him and threw the ball in his court to score or miss the shot. Daddy is going to pray since he knows prayer changes things, people, and situations. This prayer will be that CJ misses her Daddy when he leaves. Oh yeah, yesterday she cried when her uncle left buy not her Daddy. What is a Daddy to do?

Missing In Action

OK, let me explain my absence for the past two days. On Thursday I came home from a week at work and fell out, nothing more, nothing less. However before I did i managed to strip the internet cord that went into the modem. that meant no internet unitl it was fixed. So that explains Thursday and Friday night with no blog to read.

Which brings me to today. Here we are on a hot Saturday night. Today was spent hangnig out. After waiting on the repairman until 2pm we went out after that to pick up CJ and few things she needed. We then went to a cookout that was imrpomptu but was well worth it. For the most part CJ was the only child there. That did not stop her from running all around and getting into any and everything she could. There was a screen tent to protect us from the bugs but CJ felt the need to go in and out of that. She also had a fascination with the stairs which were concrete and were riught behind the grill. Now Daddy sees how she messed up her face before. She is daring and will not listen to many people. Her listening has to be worked on becasue she is going to hurt herself not doing so.

CJ hung with her great aunt today. That was because she gave CJ her own piece of chicken which CJ devoured. She ate well and so did Daddy and now they are home ready to go to sleep. Daddy also enjoyed some golf with CJ while in the backyard. CJ knows that she is suppose to swing the club, she just has to understand that she she swing at the ball not other people. It was a great day and we pray we get more like. it. Prayer chnages things, people, and situations!

Broken Chairs Everywhere

CJ is wrecking my home! Mommy sent me a picture of a chair that is now broken because of my Princess. Now CJ is getting a little out hand and I guess Daddy will have to have a talk with her once he arrives home. For the past few days CJ would say hello when I called home and then goodbye when I was done. When she did come to the telephone she would not say much. Daddy is hoping that she is all talk on tomorrow. Pray that Daddy can get home very quickly. Prayer changes things, people, and situations.

Coming Along

Well another day has come to an end and that means Daddy and Cj are a day closer to seeing each other. Daddy called home today and spoke with CJ for a minute. She seems to not want to talk much with Daddy when he calls. She always seems to be preoccupied. Well as long as Cj is enjoying her summer days Daddy is pleased.

Continue to pray that God continues to lead and guide the Johnson's of Old Bridge. Prayer changes things, people, and situations.

Butter Baby! OK, (It Was Margarine)

At 1:10pm Daddy received a text from Mommy that read this way, "Why did ur daughter go in the fridge, take a stick of margarine out its box n proceed to take a bite out of it? I was ready ti kill her...lol. Njoy ur afternoon. (Forgive the text language)
Now when Daddy saw the message he instantly replied, " Why are you not feeding my baby?" If the child is willing to eat butter things must be pretty bad, lol! Mommy assured Daddy that his child was receiving all the nourishment she needed.

Today Daddy heard CJ and she told him goodbye. She sounded like she was too involved in what she was doing to listen or interact with her Daddy. Daddy was glad to hear her enjoying her herself but could have used a, "Hi Daddy" today. Oh well there is always tomorrow.

God is still making moves in Daddy and CJ's lives. Prayer changes things, people, and situations.

CJ Was Not Happy

I just recapped the entire day and then it did not save.

CJ was not happy in church today.

Daddy and Mommy tried to figure out why?

She was much better afterward.

Her aunt says it was an ugly man in church, (very non-christian like of her).

Daddy had to go back to work.

He gave CJ a kiss goodbye and told her he loved her.

CJ told her Daddy she loved him back.

Daddy can not wait until next week already.

Fill In Hairdresser

Normally CJ gets her hair done by the sitters daughter. However, today because the weekend would not allow it CJ had to find someone else to do her hair. Almost two-year olds have all the problems. Daddy dropped Mommy and CJ off at his sisters to for the appointment and then went off to try and get his own hair cut for which he was successful. After all the hair was done it was off to the church for a long day of worship. Now do not misunderstand this, we are made to worship and Daddy and CJ love to worship, we just had to build ourselves up today since we were dead tired. But when we think of the goodness of Jesus and all he has done for us, our souls cry out hallelujah! So we worshiped, then worshiped some more. In between CJ caught a nap and Daddy caught a hot dog. They came back together and worshiped some more! Since our hair was done we looked darn good doing it!

Worship ended but the day did not stop there. CJ needed to come home and take a bath and Daddy had two pans of peach cobbler to conquer. They both stopped to eat first and Daddy is happy to report that CJ is clean and sleep and he is about packed to go tomorrow and the second cobbler is in the oven.

For this is the day that the Lord has made, Daddy and CJ rejoiced and are glad in it! We packed a lot in but we began and ended in prayer. Prayer changes things, people, and situations!

For July 8th

When Daddy got home all he was able to do was sleep. He had to stay at work longer than expected, then had to fight through a rains storm to get home. he was wet, tired, and hungry. However through all of that the first smile from CJ made him forget about the ride home and the delay. CJ came to him and the famous words came out her mouth, "Hi Daddy!" Once Daddy heard Cj's voice is day was made and he was satisfied. After dinner Cj was bathed and Daddy fell out. They both have a bit much to do today so pray that they make it through. Prayer changes things, people, and situations.

It About Time

Well after tonight Daddy will get to see CJ! He talked with her briefly today and he is ready to get home to see her. Daddy is praying that all the students leave early so he can get to her. Prayer changes things, people, and situations.

Wednesday, July 6, 2011

Just A Few Words

Today I spoke with CJ a few times and she did not have much to say. This is odd for her. Usually CJ has a lot to say to Daddy. Daddy wonders if she is upset that he is not around. Maybe the, "Daddy is at work," phrase is not working any longer. Daddy was a little bit sad. Daddy prays that she will understands the sacrifices made by him and how they affect her as well. Daddy's change will come. Prayer changes things, people, and situations.

Tuesday, July 5, 2011

For July 5th, 2011

OK, so I am a few minutes late. The computer downstairs took to long to load. Well I am back down at the college, away from my Princess. When I called home today it seemed like she and Mommy were having a solid time. She talked to me each time I called and told Daddy bye-bye clearly. Daddy is dealing with the time away by working on CJ's birthday stuff. Nothing much just a family trip to the zoo and a Dora cake. CJ loves Dora and Diego so Daddy wants to surprise her with a cake reflecting such.

Today was OK but Daddy hopes that the week will go by quickly so he can see his baby girl again. God is moving and we will not have to be separate during the summers much in the future. Keep praying for us, prayer changes things, people, and situations!

Monday, July 4, 2011

I Love You Daddy!

While everyone else in the world was watching the fireworks in New York on television or at their local park, CJ was creating fireworks of her own. Ladies and gentlemen CJ is close to clearly saying I Love You Daddy! She is saying it now and Daddy understands it but the clarity is close. This will be the moment that Daddy is no more good.

Daddy spent the entire day with CJ today becasue he has to go to work for the week tomorrow morning. So that meant whatever CJ wanted for the most part she got, Mommy of course was not pleased. When daddy went off to bed she told daddy that she loved him. Nothing could have made my day brighter than that staement. Daddy is going to miss his Princess for the next few days but will call her daily to hear those great words.

Keep praying for us folks, prayer changes things, people, and situations!

Laying Around

Daddy can not recolect much of the evening. What he can remember is that he and CJ did a lot of sleeping. Daddy tried to stay awake through television shows and CJ climbing all over her him but the weariness upon his body set in. CJ was weary too, she slept through the early part of the night, Cj climbed on her Daddy's back and rested. Daddy and Cj also shared popcorn together. Even though daddy tries to limit her intake CJ gets handfuls of kernals and stuffs them in her mouth.

Daddy and Mommy both recognized how CJ was behaving better in church lately. She did yell out, "Good Morning, Daddy" when Daddy stood up this morning but after that you did not even know she was there. This is with no toys or gimmicks people. Daddy is pleaased with the progress and prays it continues. Prayer changes things, people, and situations! Now Dady needs to occupy himself since he is well rested now.

Broken Glass

The day was suppose to be spent in the house relaxing. However midway through the afternoon Mommy decided to change that for CJ and Daddy. Now, CJ and daddy upon waking up this morning enjoyed pancakes for breakfast. They each had a drink Daddy of juice and CJ of milk and then began to watch television. Daddy was even able to read part of a book to CJ. It was about different shades of brown. Daddy read until CJ left him with book in hand.

When Mommy changed the plan, Daddy and CJ adjusted. They dropped her off where she needed to be then proceeded up north to wait and save gasoline. CJ was sleep the entire ride up and when we arrived was groggy and grumpy for about 20 minutes. Within that time her cousins came over and she warmed up quickly. CJ dined on an ice pop and then went to watch television with her great-grandmother and cousins. She actually volunteered to be away from her Daddy whom she usually clings to all the time. Sooner than later she came out and managed to get near some glasses she should not have been near. We tried calling her cousin Brooks softly as not to startle her but we were to late and the glass shattered on the floor. CJ who tried to get away was not harmed but she was put on time out. She was upset and of course performed a tantrum but Daddy paid her no mind and began the clean up process.

CJ must learn that she can not just touch anything when she wants. CJ sat in that place until Daddy told her it was time to go get her mother. We are really working on CJ's lack of listening to people an her selective listening to her parents. We will have to pray daily so we do not have a child who feels she can do what she wants when she wants too. Prayer changes things, people, and situations.

No Bags

Daddy took CJ out today. He did not find sneakers but CJ liked some Crocs that she liked. Mommy got some shoes too. Everyone had a bag but Daddy. Felt nice spoiling his Princess too. Keep praying for us. The prayers do help. Prayer changes people, things, and situations.

I see my Princess tomorrow.

Not Much From CJ

Today was a busy day for Mommy and Daddy so the conversation was brief during the day. By the time the parents spoke in the evening CJ was sleeping soundly because she did not take a nap during the day. Mommy did manage to tell me that CJ was running around the house with no clothes on saying, "Naked!" I think she picked that up from her uncles.

We have two more nights to go before Daddy gets to see his Princess. Daddy is planning a short trip for them to get CJ some sneakers. he promised to get her a new pair when he came home. Also Mommy needs a break from her. Daddy is going to make sure that he has his Skype set up next week so he can chat with CJ live. Daddy has a big day ahead of him that will impact the families future. Daddy will make sure he is prayed up before entering all of his meetings. Daddy knows that prayer changes things, people, and situations!

Careful Daddy

Well today will be the third night I am not there to see CJ to sleep. As Daddy sits and chats with his staff he ponders what he will do with CJ on Friday. he promised her sneakers but that will not be to fun. So he must think a bit more. Of course he made sure he called CJ bright and early. When he finally heard from CJ she talked to him well. She said, "Careful Daddy." So Daddy must be on his best behavior. So far Daddy is getting his rest, eating properly, and even walking across campus versus driving.

So Daddy is listening to his Princess so he can arrive back at the castle safely as directed. Keep praying for Daddy as he wrestles with work and life. Prayer changes things, people, and situations.

CJ finally got to go on a swing.

The First Night Away

So tonight is the first night I am away from my Princess and I get a call from Mommy telling me that she went to the bathroom in the potty. Of course Daddy was not there.

Black-Eyed CJ

On the way home today Daddy received a different phone call. As Daddy strained to see the car ahead of him through the hard rainfall Mommy told him that CJ had fell and bruised herself pretty bad. So Daddy was interested to see this face when he picked CJ up. When Daddy arrived to the sitter he was met with a running and cheerful CJ and a very sad sitter. The bruise is bad and CJ will black and blue up in by the morning but these things happen. Daddy ssured the sitter that all was well and that she should eat and calm down.

Mommy brought every medicinal item she could to treat the eye. Daddy somply said, "Its her first black-eye," of course he is not loving the fact that her face is jacked up but she will be OK. CJ seems to be fine and Daddy talked with the sitter to let her know that. We will pray that her healing is smooth and clear! Prayer changes things, people and situations.

Walmart

Daddy does not understand how but CJ recognizes Walmart. Whenever we are there she days "Walmart" throughout the store. Today was different. She picked up a receipt and said, "Walmart". Mommy and Daddy both are stunned. How does she know this?

Fathers Day 2011

Daddy made it. This was the first Father's Day Daddy and CJ were well and together. We woke up this morning and headed out to worship early. Today we had two services. CJ was well behaved in both. After dinner with the family, Mommy and CJ took Daddy to get his gift. Daddy got his helmet and the bike is soon to come. As Daddy said earlier, CJ celebrates him daily every tome she says, "Daddy" Daddy will take that over any gift.

You all know to pray for our continued development. Prayer still changes things, people, and situations. Prayer helps in development too!

CJ Seems To Be FIne

So Mommy was diagnosed yesterday, she has strp throat and has been walking around the house with masks on to keep her disease to herself. Today was Daddy's turn at the doctor. The good news is that Daddy does not have strep throat. However he has someting and the doctor prescribed some medication to clear it up. So Daddy is still running strong and now is getting the assistance he needs. The great thing about all of this is that CJ is fine. CJ is walking, talking, destroying and getting into any and everthing she can. No coughing, no eating issues, and no diaper issues to be concerned about. Daddy is glad becasue he gets miserable when his Princess is not reigning as normal.

Today CJ played a trick on her Daddy. It is normal for CJ to run and hide in different places around the house. Usually she does a horrible job, lol. Today as Daddy used the laptop CJ was off and running. Out the corner of his eye Daddy saw he r go into the bedroom. The problem was that when he went in there was no sign of CJ. Daddy called out her name but no response. Daddy then went into the bathroom but CJ was not in there. Back into the living room he went but CJ was nowhere in sight. Just when he was about to ge concern he heard something bumpo into a wall. He went into the closet and who did he find coming from behind a bin but CJ. Daddy will admit loud and clear that he was getting very concerned until he heard that thud. He could not get mad at her because Daddy is a prankster too and he now has to wait to get CJ back some how.

SO folks lets pray that Daddy's health progresses, and CJ remains unharmed throughout the weekend and beyond. Prayer changes things, people, and situations!

Strep Throat

The diagnosis is in, Mommy has Strep Throat. It was this exact same time last year that CJ had strep and then Daddy caught it from her. Daddy missed the big Father's Day lunch at the church and he missed Father's Day worship service. Daddy spent the entire morning in the emergency room. His first Father's Day will always be memorable. So it is today a year later and Daddy is yet again the recipient of Strep Throat maybe. Daddy's throat has been in pain all week, towards the end it became better but it is sore none the less.

Daddy is just trying to enjoy his second Father's Day. he goes tomorrow to get his diagnosis, which he hopes is not to bad. The good thing is that CJ is seeming to have immunity this time. Daddy prays that she continues to be strong because he does not want to go through her being sick.

So keep Daddy and CJ in your prayers folks. Pray we get to enjoy our second Father's Day together! We know prayer WILL change things, people, and situations. We also know they sickness is a joke to prayer!

CJ and Names

So when Daddy and Mommy went to pick CJ up she was outside enjoying the sun. When she came in the other child's mother was walking down the hall and CJ looked up and called her by name. Both Daddy and Mommy were taken aback but the sitter just said, "You got a smart baby!" Let's pray that she continues to value learning. Prayer changes things. people, and situations.

Graduation Day

Today was CJ's Uncle Duke's graduation from high school. CJ and Daddy had to ride as a duo because Mommy is really sick. Daddy and CJ got a late start this morning because Daddy just could not get it all together. This even though he prepared much of CJ's stuff last night, it was his stuff that held them up. Their lateness resulted in a meeting needing to be pushed back for Daddy. That was the only time they were late the rest of the day.

Daddy left work early to make sure he picked CJ up and beat all of the Garden State Parkway traffic. He was in East Orange by 4:00pm. Daddy was also the driving force to make sure everyone arrived to the graduation site on time. The graduation was nice. The school did what was right and focused everything on the students. CJ sat well for the most part. For a long while Daddy forgot she was there because she actually wanted to sit with her Pop! After the graduation the family went out to eat. This is where CJ showed her butt. She just would not stop talking. She whined, she screamed and just did anything that would annoy her Daddy. It was a long day for her and she held out as long as she could.

We finally arrived home and CJ has been sleep since we hit the Parkway South. We have to be up and at them tomorrow and I bet she will be a little cranky. We just pray that she learns to behave when she is tired. If she is tired, go to sleep. Pray for her folks, prayer changes things, people., and situations.

Mommy Is Sick (POST 600)

It is currently 10:10pm on a Sunday night. Daddy is typing his blog and CJ is still awake. The situation is this. Mommy some how got herself sick, when we arrived home she did not pass go nor did she collect $300 dollars. She went right to the bed and that is where she has been since then. SO that meant Daddy was left to deal with CJ for the entire night.

He has bathed her, check!

He prepared her lunch for tomorrow along with her diaper bag, check!

He also prepared a snack bag for graduation tomorrow, check!

Also a bag for him to have tomorrow evening, complete with an empty bottle, check.

He did not get himself ready but he has the alarm set so he can wake up with enough time to have both Daddy and CJ out of the house on time. The only thing Daddy cannot put a check by is, CJ is sleeping, uncheck. This girl is still going. Even with Daddy turning all the lights off she still is up. Now I know we are not in the traditional setting. Daddy does not want CJ to sleep in the bedroom for fear she might get sick. This week is another crucial week at work and he needs to be there daily. So after the blog is complete Daddy will lay with his Princess with the hope she goes to sleep. We do hope Mommy gets better. Daddy does the job that is needed to be done but Mommy puts a little more effort into it and always thinks of things Daddy does not. No matter how much he pays attention. So we pray for her health on tonight. Prayer changes things, people, and situations.

Home Alone

No I am not talking about the movie series. Daddy is home all by himself. No Mommy and no CJ. After Daddy took CJ to the park with him and was worn out by the Princess running all around the playground Mommy and CJ went to go babysit. CJ was amazing in the park though. Daddy observed as she navigated around. She developed a sequence of how she wanted to go up the stairs, then down the little slide, then up some more stairs and down the big slide. At first she needed to get a better understanding of how she was to get down from the top. Daddy saw her begin to reason with herself and then make her attempt. Of course Daddy was worried the entire time, would she get scared? Would she try to jump down a side? Would she slide to hard? All these things ran through Daddy's head but soon went away as she became more and more confident. CJ even walked down the stairs today. She took her time and made her way!

CJ also played well with others. It was nice to see her wait her turn, not push or hit any other children. it was a great day for CJ a tiring day for Daddy. Now Daddy is home alone, he truly misses his Princess. He got no kiss goodnight, no hug, no fussing, no calls for Daddy. What is a man to do. Well he prays. he prays that she is resting peacefully and that he will get to sleep soon to. Prayer changes things, people, and situations.

NOTE TO CJ: Sometimes you will be away from home. Make sure that you call your Daddy to say goodnight! He misses you.

Daddy's Had Enough

Daddy has made a vow to help CJ begin to operate better by herself. Instead of playing with her toys CJ likes to eat paper, mess with electronic equipment, and she is fascinated with the kitchen. Today Daddy had enough of her messing things up and wondered where here toys were. He then remembered that they are in a container that gets hidden by his and Mommy's clothes. So he took all of the clothes off of the container and called CJ over. Daddy explained to her that anything in the container she could take out and do whatever she wanted to with it. Daddy would much rather have toys all over the place than the bits of paper and other stuff CJ finds to destruct.

Daddy will admit he played a part in CJ's having nothing to do sometimes but now those days are over and we all will be better from it. Daddy is really trying to work on his discipline style with CJ. Does not want to be softy but does not want to be too strict and harsh either. Daddy is trying to find balance but it is difficult. We definitely have to pray for Daddy as he continues on this journey.

Daddy and CJ did get to hang out and watch a little television together while Mommy did laundry. CJ refuses to sit with her Daddy for long periods of time. Folks' she is embarrassed by me and breaking away already. I guess I have to find us something that we can do together since cartoons are out of the question for CJ.

Lord willing tomorrow CJ and Daddy will have some fun in the park. You all pray for Daddy that he can keep up with CJ in open space. We know prayer changes things, people, and situations.

Get Out Of My Kitchen

People, my daughter is refusing to listen to anything said to her these days. When I ask her to stop, and I really ask her. She looks at me and then continues to do what she was doing. When I was trying to dress her for bed tonight, she kept diving on the bed and running from me. I ask her to stop she turns around and giggles.

Today Daddy had to get very stern with her. Daddy was preparing dinner and the instruments he was using could have harmed CJ. CJ insisted on coming in the kitchen. Daddy would chase her out but she would come back. She just wanted to be by her Daddy but she did not understand that Daddy just wanted to keep her safe. When Daddy had to raise his voice CJ looked astonished and upset. Of course Daddy did not feel good about it either. These things will happen but they both will grow stronger by it.

Tonight was Daddy and CJ Bath Night and it went according to plan. CJ enjoyed pointing out her body parts for Daddy to wash. CJ is getting really good with identifying her body parts too. Along with numbers and some of the alphabet. Daddy is happy because she is doing this without the full court press from Mommy and Daddy. CJ has developed a love for learning independently and I pray she continues to nurture it.

Daddy will be praying because he knows prayer changes things, people, and situations.

NOTE TO CJ: CJ I am sharing this passage with you. It has helped Daddy and Daddy prays you can benefit from them as well.

If it falls your lot to be a street sweeper, sweep streets like Michelangelo painted pictures, sweep streets like Beethoven composed music, sweep streets like Leontyne Price sings before the Metropolitan Opera. Sweep streets like Shakespeare wrote poetry. Sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will have to pause and say: Here lived a great street sweeper who swept his job well. If you can't be a pine at the top of the hill, be a shrub in the valley. Be be the best little shrub on the side of the hill. Be a bush if you can't be a tree. If you can't be a highway, just be a trail. If you can't be a sun, be a star. For it isn't by size that you win or fail. Be the best of whatever you are.

Bad Hair Day

So when I dropped my child off today her hair was decent. When I picked her up her hair looked like she was the long lost descendent of Medusa. Hair was all over the place. Then Daddy had the nerve to need to make some runs before they went home.

The sitter informed us that her daughter (who does CJ's hair) will be leaving on Friday but wanted to make sure CJ's hair was done so they took it out today. We beat the heat and we are all in one piece. CJ still has to learn to listen but we are working on that daily. Keep praying for us as we continue to develop. Prayer changes things, people, and situations.

Simply CJ

Some things Daddy has come to learn that CJ will simply do.

CJ will eat anything that resembles paper.

CJ will close the refrigerator door when she sees it open.

CJ will go into the refrigerator and get her cup of milk if she feels her receiving it is taking too long.

CJ will go into the bathroom and shut the door, the bedroom and even the closet.

CJ will grab her coat and say, "I want to go." if she sees Mommy or Daddy hit the top stair.

CJ will remain asleep when Daddy dresses her in the morning but fuss with Mommy the entire time.

CJ will throw her dinner plate when she is finished with it.

CJ wil speak to any and everyone she encounters no matter how much it embarrasses her mom or dad.

CJ will drink from any cup she finds.

CJ will tell you what is on her mind if you ask her.

CJ is simply CJ folks. She is one of a kind and developing more and more of a personality daily. We can really begin to see that she is her Mommy and Daddy's child, interesting I know. Daddy loves her though. She is his Princess and anyone who has to, must deal with it. Mommy included. We continue to pray that CJ develops into a remarkable young lady; respecting of self, intelligent, beautiful, athletic, strong, independent, compassionate, witty, humorous, and so much more. Daddy will do his best to raise her up right and show her what a MAN is and how one acts and treats women. He will also learn to let go and let her live trusting in the job he has done! I will need prayer but I will get there. We all know Prayer changes things, people, and situations!

NOTE TO CJ: One thing Daddy wants you to do in life is to fully trust and respect yourself.

In And Out Of Trouble

So CJ for the past few months has been living to create trouble for herself. She will go where she does not suppose to go. She will touch what she knows she should not touch. Now recently, she has been getting bolder about hearing someone say stop but continuing to do as she pleases. So needless to say CJ has a lot of lectures from dear old dad. What Daddy can not seem to understand is that after i discipline her for doing wrong then she wants to come make nice with him.

She will come to Daddy and smile with all her cheeks then say, "Hi Daddy! I'm sorry Daddy!" then hug me. So now what am i suppose to do, continue to be mad? I think not, She understand when Daddy is not playing. He could be a little more stern but he never wants CJ to be scared of him. Daddy will be respected though and CJ is gaining that understanding.

Some people may say Daddy is soft but Daddy knows what he is doing. No need having a young girl afraid to approach her Dad. If that is the case she will go find some other man to fill his place. So CJ plays the line. She is in and out of trouble quickly sometimes. Something we both will need to work on.

So you all pray for us as we continue to develop the foundation of our father/daughter relationship based on love and respect.

A Good Day

Summing it up briefly, today was a good day. We worshipped,we dined, we relaxed, amd now we are off to sleep. CJ already beat Daddy to it. Please pray for us as the clouds do rise upon our lives. Prayer changes things, people, and situations.

Take A Nap

So today was an impromptu day all around. What Daddy believed would simply be a day he could sleep in and have one conference call meeting today turned to something a bit different. Even though we made an appointment we were still back and forth on whether or not we would take CJ to the doctor. However when CJ woke up literally with her eyes glued shut with mucus we knew we would need to go. That appointment was at 9:15am this morning. So while we were out Daddy figured we should go ahead and start our day. CJ and Daddy dropped Mommy off at her mother's and then continued up north.

When we arrived up north of course CJ started to cry when we arrived to the yellow house. Why she still does this is a bit annoying but she gets over it. When we arrived to East Orange today we were met with a picture Daddy never thought he would see in the hood. There was a goose perched in someone's yard. Daddy was so surprised that he took a picture of it. That goose hung on the block all day long. CJ was too busy crying to really understand what was going on. From there Daddy made a senseless trip to the bank. For some reason it was closed and of course Daddy had limited funds and the gas light came on, lol. Daddy handled the problem of course and then it was back to the house.

Daddy had his meeting and then Daddy and CJ enjoyed lunch. CJ was at her best today. She delighted in throwing a plastic vase of Christmas balls all over the place. She then wanted to play with the computer and press every button on the the printer. Everyone would tell her to stop but she would get tickled by trying to sneak and touch it when she thought no one was looking. She continued by sticking her hand in the cake batter her great-grandmother was baking. Then when the cake was done and cooling we noticed two finger holes in the cake. Low and behold the girls had gotten into the cake.

The problem of the day was that though tired, CJ would not take a nap. Daddy held her and she would not go to sleep. CJ would get her blanket and lay it out but then snatch it up and keep running through the house. Even Breezie trying to be nice could not get CJ to lay down. She did manage to keep her in the room watching television so I guess that was an accomplishment. When we left from up north CJ went to sleep as soon as we pulled off. Daddy figured that. Daddy and CJ had a great time today even though it was not planned but those are the best times anyway. Times when things just happen. Hopefully CJ is back to 100% soon. You all keep praying. Prayer changes things, people, and situations!

Another Doctor

When CJ woke up this morning her eye was full of cold. Mommy called the doctor but he is out. She got a reccomendation from a coworker so we will try that tomorrow. Pray for us, prayer changes things, people, and situations.

In The Middle Of The Night

Today's action occurred early this morning at about three something. CJ woke up restless and could not go to sleep. When Daddy went to pick her up and comfort her she was pretty hot. Mommy attempted to take her temperature rectally but CJ was not having it. Daddy recommended trying the under arm but she did not allow that to happen either. She kicked and screamed as we tried to give her some medicine, eventually we administered what she needed.

Daddy kept her in the bed with him for the rest of the night and she balled up under him and finally went to sleep. Needless to say this morning was rough for Daddy and CJ. We need to be out the house by 6:30am and it was after 7:00am when we left today. Thankfully CJ did not get sick and MOmmy is getting better. Daddy missed a moment tonight, CJ reading looking like her Mommy. She tried to get it on camera but things did not work out. As long as she was imitating reading, Daddy is satisfied for the time being. Keep praying for us, we have a few problems right now and we know prayer changes things, people, and situations.

MIni-Session

Today CJ and Daddy had an impromptu mini-session. Mommy needed to go get her hair done so that meant that Daddy and CJ would be alone for a few hours. Usually that means fun for Daddy but today CJ just wanted to be clingy. Today was the first day I saw her pay more attention to Daddy than the television. So Daddy held her and made her feel comfortable. They researched some stuff online and then listened to music of course.

The time together was appreciated and needed. Anytime Daddy and CJ can be together is a great thing. Daddy really desires for the father/daughter relationship to be strong. So he does not mind spending quality time with CJ.

So keep praying for us! Prayer changes things, people, and situations.

Memorial Day 2011

Well today CJ and Daddy celebrated Labor Day a few months early. Since we were intelligent and had our barbecue yesterday we were able to stay home and relax today. This was something we both needed, too. CJ and Daddy live life going all the time. Going to work, going to the sitter, going to meetings, going to outings and many other goings. So when a day comes that we can do absolutely nothing we grab hold of it. Today we woke up late, praise be to God, watched all our favorite television shows, we ate snacks, listened to music, we got a little bit of reading in, and lounged all day! At the end of the day we do not even know what to do with ourselves. CJ is quiet but now fighting her sleep. Daddy is well rested and ready to hit the bed, and Mommy is trying to fight some sort of sickness that CJ and Daddy both pray we do not get.

At 10:12pm CJ is still up. She is very delirious but still will not give in. This was a very memorable day. We remembered those who fought for our freedom and we remembered to take some time to ourselves. Praise God for relaxation. You all continue to lift CJ and Daddy in prayer. We have a long road of ups and downs ahead but we know the rainbows will out number the clouds. Prayer changes things, people, and situations.

BBQ on Memorial Day

Today was an action packed day for CJ during the BBQ after church. The HOly Spirit worked through Daddy but today CJ fell asleep. After worship today the family cooked out on the grill. CJ decided that today she would be a walking terror. CJ had a ball. She went throughout the house in search of anything that looked like it could a beverage. She took cups of water, cans of soda, and even her cousins cup. She drank what was left and in some cases poured out onto the floors the contents. At one point CJ had a cup with a little water in it. She decided that she wanted to splash her uncle King Duke with water. So she lunged at him unexpectedly and she got him. All he could do was laugh as CJ sprawled on the floor cracking herself up. He could not do anything but laugh too.

CJ was so tired from all her activity that she fell asleep in the car during the ride home. Not to worry though, she woke up as soon as Daddy put the car in park. She continued to wear herself down until it was bath time. She went to bed without much fuss tonight. Daddy enjoys watching CJ be a inquisitive menace. She is not bad but explorative and wants to get into any and everything she can. Daddy finds it cute! This evening Daddy watched "My Family Wedding" tomorrow he will critique during the day because the father daughter relationship in the wedding taught him something that he wants to ponder. So as you pray keep Daddy and CJ's relationship in mind. Prayer changes, things, people, and situations.

A Day of Relaxation

For the last few days Daddy has been trying to get a much rest as possible. OK, let me be serious Daddy's body would give out on me and this morning was no different. Daddy's mind had all intention on getting up at 6:00am, Daddy's body had other plans and did not get out of bed until CJ came into the room at 9:00am telling him to do so.

So it was not a normal Saturday morning with Daddy being home. It was Mommy that fixed CJ breakfast and Mommy who she watched cartoons with. Daddy was not jealous he just was tired and needed his rest. So when Daddy finally was up and ready Mommy had gone back to bed and left CJ and Daddy together. Daddy was trying to focus on work for tomorrow and has to admit that CJ was very cooperative. However a little girl can only entertain herself for so long and then turned to Daddy for entertainment.

So Daddy paused from his work and played with his Princess. Ok it was more of CJ doing what she wanted to do and Daddy asking her to stop. The only time she really wanted to be bothered with her Daddy for a length of time was when she wanted to use him as a pillow. Daddy does not mind as long as she is quiet and careful.

Today everyone pretty much bummed around the house. We did not engage in much. We all had very long weeks and needed the recovery time. Besides Daddy always enjoys spending th day with his Princess and Mommy.

Another cloud is over us and we will just have to pray through it. You all pray with us and for us. One thing we do know is that prayer changes things, people, and situations!

The Day After

Daddy was tired. A zombie! Will explain later.

Driving Ms. Daisy

Well today I learned a valuable lesson for the umpteenth time. That lesson is that your child sees everything you do. Today Daddy played chauffeur for Uncle Duke's Senior Prom. Daddy played the part, dressed in black, wore a hat, and rented a huge SUV for the occasion. So while we were waiting for the date to get ready CJ lured her great-aunt to bring her over to the truck to see her Daddy. So of course Daddy pulled her through the window and sat him on her lap. CJ then proceeded to change the radio station and turn the volume up and down. That is pretty understandable. What is not as understandle is how she then grabbed the steering wheel and acted as if she was driving. Then on top of that, she started to dance while driving similar to how her Daddy does when he is driving. I could only shake my head and laugh. CJ has all eyes on Daddy back in that car seat I guess.

Well I have to be brief tonight. The chaufeurring continues at 11 so I want to at least sit in one place and chill out until then. Pray for Daddy and CJ, so they will not get pulled over for dancing while driving. Prayer changes things, people, and situations.

Wearing Different Hats

Daddy decided last week that he would attempt to wear a hat. He purchased a pretty stylish one and we shall see where this goes. How this all ties into the day is that on the ride home CJ wanted to play with Daddy's hats. The new one was out of her reach but one another hat of mine was placed where she could reach it. As Daddy drives he always looks back to see what CJ is doing at a light. When Daddy looked back this particular time CJ had put on his hat and was dancing. Daddy tried to snap a quick picture but she took the hat off quickly.

CJ always finds Daddy's hats and then loses them. She likes hats sometimes and then other times she will throw them when you try to put in on her. Seeing her mess with the hat was a bit funny today and of course after a long day at work Daddy needs a laugh from his beautiful Princess. WHo is is really coming into her own. You all keep praying for us, we are doing the best we can. Prayer changes things, people, and situations!

Back Together Again

So after two days of being in the wilderness while CJ dwelled in the big city, Daddy and CJ are back together. Daddy kept strong and sis not speak with her until we arrived in JC and upstairs to see CJ face to face. Or in her case face to booty, since her Aunt was lathering her up with way too much Eucerin. So as soon as she was dressed CJ made her way to her Daddy and took residence around his neck. I guess in her head she said I am not going to let go this time. It was funny that the exact same situation presented itself today. Daddy needed to use the bathroom but this time CJ was hip to it. She would not allow Daddy to put her down. Each time Daddy tried she latched on tighter and tigher. When we could wait no longer, Mommy literally needed to pry CJ off of Daddy. She fussed a bit but soom settled down. Daddy came back out just like Saturday and Mommy needed to leave, CJ again was not having it. Eventually CJ got it all together and realized that she was not being left today. Daddy hopes this does not linger over until tomorrow morning when we need to go to work.

The evening brought us all back to reality. CJ was up to her old antics and Daddy and Mommy had to be on top of her every move. We enjoyed dinner together once again and then CJ was off to bed. It is good to be back home as a unit. We made it through the first nights away from each other. Keep praying that we do even better the next time this has to occur. Prayer changes things, people, and situations.

Out Of Sight But Not Out Of Mind

Today was day two of CJ and Daddy not being together. Even though she was out of sight, Daddy soent every minute of the day thinking about his Princess. Dadddy chooses not to talk with her, he feels like it would give her false hope. Instead he quietly anticipates the huge hug CJ will give him when she lays her eyes upon him. Mommy delivers the message that she is doing just fine as Daddy thought she would. Nonetheless tomorrow is coming and Daddy is going to get his child. All weekend Daddy wondered, what was on CJ's mind. Also he has learned that two days withought hearing "Daddy, Daddy" is too long for him.

So the first time is coming to an end and Daddy and CJ will be back to creating havoc. Continue to pray for us during these type of days. Prayer changes things, people, and situations.

The First Night Away

Daddy has been away from CJ on many occasions. Most of the occasions the separation is due to work. Mommy has even taught to say Daddy is at work! Daddy wants CJ to know and understanding that many times Daddy must go away to ensure she has a good quality of life and that work is how all of her needs are met and how she receives nice things. However today was different, both Mommy and Daddy will not be with her when she wakes up so this has nothing to do with work. Mommy's collge roomate is getting married and Mommy is in the wedding. Therefore both Daddy and Mommy had to leave earlier than both emay have wanted.

SO CJ is staying with her Aunt for the weekend. Today was drop off, and Daddy thought it would be easy because CJ fell asleep in the car. Little did he know but CJ had her own plans and woke up as soon as we arrived to Jersey City. Daddy too her upstairs and CJ would not let go. The girl knew something different was going down and that with Daddy was her safest place. The girl did not say a word or even make a peep. She laid on her Daddy's shoulder with her thumb in her mouth and I guess dared someone try to move her. All the while Mommy was running down allof the do's and dont's for her Aunt. Finally Daddy needed to make a move, so to the bathroom he went. When he came out he grabbed his keys while CJ was not looking. He already had kissed her before he went to the bathroom so he would not have to do so on the way out. Mommy got the hint and she had to say her goodbyes too. She told CJ that we would be back soon and then headed to the door. CJ started to cry but Daddy and Mommy had to keep going. Daddy was halfway down the steps but Mommy took a second to get herself together. Daddy has not talked to CJ since but has listened to Mommy's updates. (Mommy is doing better than expected)

When Daddy and Mommy arrived to the hotel they went to a few stores first. Of course Daddy brought something to bring back to his Princess, a soccer goal so she can use with her soccer ball! She should enjoy that and it make be a little bit of a peace offering since Daddy left her for the weekend. Daddy will admit he does miss his little girl and can not wait until he gets back to pick her up. So pray us through the weekend people, praye r changes things people, and situations!

The Oil Change

This will be an oil change for Daddy to remember for a lifetime. It would be the first where CJ was there with him the entire time. The first attempt failed. Daddy figured he could actually take CJ in with him, they would watch television and the time would go by pretty fast. CJ had other plans. She wanted to run around the shop. Now you have to understand babies have no place in the tire shop, but a Daddy has to do what a Daddy has to do. So after Daddy saw that CJ wanted to be on her own he thought on his feet prety fast. He asked the mechanic to give him the keys back. Then CJ and Daddy went to the car and Daddy took out her stroller and put CJ in it. This way he would at least be able to contain her. He also found her Cheerios, a cup and her dog and brought them as well. So Daddy strolled CJ back in, he gave her the Cheerios and the dog and CJ was cool. She did not talk much to the men in the shop (Thank God)...they were not too inviting. However just as soon as a younger girl entered the shop with her mother, CJ laid eyes on her and the conversation began. CJ yapped away and all the young girl could ask was, "What is your dog's name?" Daddy was glad when the girl left. CJ then became a little restless, so Daddy strolled her outside for a few minutes and she stuck her thumb into her mouth and was quiet.

The highlight of this trip was for Daddy. Of course he needed to use the bathroom which meant he reluctantly had to stroll CJ into the bathroom. He turned her in the direction of the wall so she could not see him and proceeded to do what he needed to do. Upon departure Daddy saw a changing table. He though to himself, "Finally a place geared towards men with a changing table in the bathroom." Even though he did not need to, he was glad they thought to have one.

Soon after the car was ready. Daddy had to spend more than he thought but he would spend whatever to make sure CJ and Mommy were safe. So CJ made it through the experience well and Daddy did not have to hurt her. They came home and watched television until it was time to pick Mommy up from the hairdresser. Thanks for your time, keep praying for us! Prayer changes things, people, and situations.
